A Voice from the Past [Active]
Who: Dagger (sacred_jewel ) and Zidane (thiefmaster ).
What: Zidane pinged by Dagger's accidental post of her humming and decides to come over~
When: Right after this.
Where: Dagger's Room [206].
Warnings: Fluff and will update if other stuff happens.

Garnet was slightly embarrassed once she found out that her humming was recorded and everyone was able to hear it. Maybe it was a good thing since Zidane was coming over, but other than that she was embarrassed to have other people hear her singing.. humming. She knew that her voice wasn't horrible, but if she had known it was recording she would have attempted to stop it. It was a little too late to be thinking about things like that. She would have to pay better attention next time to try and not let anything like that happen again.

Since her post had been recorded and posted she began to wonder how many people it happened to..

Well, the more she thought about it the less she was bothered by the accidental post. She was sure that people would eventually walk upon her while she was humming. Though she didn't mean to hum when she was in public she couldn't help herself. That song was always stuck in her head and she found herself even humming it in her dreams. Even thought that sounded slightly pathetic.

Now that Zidane was coming over, she knew that she didn't have much time since he was across the hall from her. Glancing around her room, she made sure that everything was picked up before walking over to the door and unlocked it. She wasn't sure if he was going to knock or just talk in. It didn't matter to her since she knew that he was coming over. After a few seconds of sitting there and waiting she could feel herself getting anxious to see him.

Had to see her, had to.

His arm had been broken, though Jade had wrapped bandages around it, it was healing slowly. Very slow. But he couldn't let the kid get hurt when he was crying over his dad's death. Could not let the kid get hurt just from showing grief. Even though he knew the hotel's rules about death, it was still a painful thing to watch. He hadn't known either Akito or Jade back then, but he had wanted to help, which led him to a painful beating from SORA (as he called himself), flat on his back. Manic and Shuro had watched over him for a bit during that time.

He had been getting scared, thinking that Garnet had went home, but after he heard her voice post, his heart had started up again, beating faster. Right arm in a sling, he snatched up his weapons in his left hand (though she was only two rooms away, he couldn't take any chances knowing the attackers and the building), exited his door, locked it and took the short run to her door.

Tail flicking back and forth as he came to a stop by her door, Zidane raised his left hand and knocked. Waiting. He just had to see her...

Even though they were across the hall from each other she couldn't explain why she hadn't seen him more than she had. It didn't feel like she had been here as long as she had, but time flew past without her really knowing. There had been a few things she got caught up in. She felt horrible about not spending more time with him. There had to be something she could do to make up for it and she would figure something out.

Dagger's heart almost jumped out of her chest when he knocked on the door. She jumped off the bed and looked around for a moment. Her excitement got the best of her and she forgot what way the door was. Once she was able to get her head on right, she raced over towards the door and opened it quickly. There was a big smile on her face. One that made her eyes light up with the happiness and relief that she had.

Quickly her eyes scanned over him and they stopped at his arm that was in a sling. Her eyebrows furrowed and her smile quickly turned into a frown. She couldn't believe that she missed his happening. Where had she been? She needed to be there for him. Taking her eyes off his arm, Dagger looked into his eyes and gave him a meek smile before opening her arms to hug him. She manuvered herself so she didn't hurt his arm and buried her face against his shoulder.

"I've miss you so much.. Are you alright..?"

He waited for what seemed like hours, but it were mere seconds. Time couldn't fly by fast enough for him as he waited outside her door. He knew that she was just beyond this door. A small whistle escaped him as time ticked slowly away. Footsteps could be heard through the door and his heart started beating faster, she was coming to see him.

Door flung open, his eyes scanned over her. When was the last time he saw her? It had been a while, he had been meaning to tell her about his attack, but then the curse hit hard, turning him into a cowboy thief. He hadn't gotten hurt from that, but he couldn't control over what he was doing, just another power that this place had: turning people into villains or lifeless dolls that didn't know a thing about love or anger or hate.

He situated himself into her arms, carefully putting his right arm around her back. Jade had warned him that it'll take time to heal, while the curse had healed him for the duration of the wild west curse, it had broken his arm back to where it was after the hotel had it's game done.

His other arm curled around her back, hand going to her neck to stroke there gently. "I've missed you so much..." His head dropped a bit to rest on top of her head. "I'm alright, just a flesh wound."

... He must be missing Steiner too, that sounded like something that Rusty would say. He hadn't seen anyone in over a year.... He still couldn't get over the fact that she was here. In his arms. Had to take each moment and treasure it... Always.

Dagger was also missing the others but she as happy that they were not stuck in this place. As long as she was with Zidane she was happy. No matter where it was. It would be nice to see everyone again, but maybe they would be able to see them again if they ever went home. If going home meant that she would have to leave Zidane then she didn't want to go. Staying here in this strange place seemed like the happiest place to be for her.

She couldn't help but laugh a little when he said it was only a flesh wound. He was only saying that to make sure that she didn't worry too much but she knew him better than that. Maybe there was a way she could make it better? She hadn't tried to use her White Magic since she got here. With the way this place was, she was slightly scared that something bad might happen.

A shiver ran down her back when he started rubbing the back of her neck. Her arms wrapped around him tighter as she leaned into him more. Then it dawned on her that they were still standing out in the open and this caused her to pull away slightly. With his arm behind her, she didn't want to move suddenly and hurt him.

"Maybe we should go into my room.. I don't want people to think we're weird for standing out here and holding each other." She laughed a little and leaned up to bump her nose against his before she weaved her way out of his embrace.

Grabbing onto his good hand, she pulled him inside and closed the door behind him. She also locked it to make sure no one could come in. She was slightly paranoid about people talking in on her.

He knew that she could cast White Magic, but to what extent? This place had the habit of clamping down on one's powers. He didn't know how much she could heal his arm, if she wanted to.

Out in the hall? He flushed a little at that, he hadn't realized that they were standing in the open, where the public could see them holding onto one another like two lost lovebirds. "Right."

Nose bumped into his and it sent shivers through his spine. How he missed her so... her voice, her song, her touch, her concern and worry, her smile... he could go and on with this list, but he let himself be led inside as the door shut behind them. He mentally kicked himself for letting his emotions get the better of him like that, since Jade's death, there had been attacks on the residents - including him - that made him paranoid to even think about trusting people right off the bat. First Jade's death, then his attack, then the robot was found dead... all within a mere week. He was going to have to protect her with all his power now, keep by her side as much as he could. Now that he knew that she was still around, he vowed that keep her safe, as long as the place let him.

Right arm rested at his side now, not bothered by the sling there, he had gotten used to it by now. Broken bone had been set, but it was taking time to heal.

His eyes never left her though, watching her move about.

That song she had been humming... the song that always led him back to her. Found her when she had gone missing throughout their journey together. It was her song; their song. He knew that she hummed it whenever she felt lonely, which brought him to her now. He didn't want her to feel alone in this place, like he had for a while. He had his friends: Vash, Manic and Shuro still, nothing compared his love for the woman standing near him now.

"You were humming our song," he said softly. Smiling despite his wound.

The whole reason she had been humming their song was because she missed him. She knew that she hadn't spent a whole lot of time with him and with what had been happening to people in the building she started to worry about him. That song was a way for her to remember him. To call out to him when she was in need of his help. It always worked and she would always be grateful to have him come running to her whenever she needed to be with him. She had been thinking about him not that long ago and started humming the song out of habit. It was funny that it was recorded and he heard it. That just proved how he would come running to her when she needed him.

Dagger too a seat on her bed and pulled a knee to her chest as she looked at him. Even if they didn't do anything exciting, she was happy to just look at him all day. He was perfect in her eyes. Everyone had flaws, but those flaws made him more perfect and handsome to her.

A light blush came across her cheeks when he mentioned that she was humming their song. She nodded to him and smiled softly as she listed her head up and straightened out her body. "Because I was thinking about you.."

Without him she didn't know how she would have ended up. He saved her from so many situations that she wanted to be able to save him an equal amount.

Dagger patted the spot next to her on the bed and smiled up at him. "Don't stand around all day, you can some sit next to me.. I don't bite hard." She grinned at him, showing as many teeth as she could. He was the one that taught her how to have a better sense of humor. He thought her so many things. He helped to create her a better and more rounded person.

Someone that he would be able to love and in return she was able to fall in love with him as well. No man could ever take his place in her heart.

His smile got brighter at that, he had been thinking about her since she arrived her. "Didn't know you missed me so much." Teasing her, but he knew that she was telling the truth. That song had always brought them back together. Here they were now.

Beautiful and gorgeous, he could look at her all day. Even if they weren't doing anything: be it a date or putting their necks on the line, he would still steal glances in her direction. Though she had her flaws, but it made him love her all the more.

He laughed a bit at her next words, going over to take his place next to her on the bed. Sling was put into his lap, taking care not to injure his arm anymore than it already was.

No matter the friends here, old and new, no one could capture his heart like she had. No one came close to his heart, no one else will.

Dagger's face became rather serious when he said that he didn't thinks he missed him so much but it lightened up when she caught on to the teasing tone that was in his voice. Of course she would miss him. Without him she didn't feel complete and there was this void that she constantly tried to fill but was unsuccessful.

When he took a seat next to her, Dagger scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. His warmth was something that she always craved. Just knowing he was next to her made most of her worries go away. The slightest touch for encouragement always sent her heart soaring.

A smirk slipped across her face as she sat there with him. He wouldn't be able to see it due to the way she had her head on his shoulder. She bit on her bottom lip to suppress a giggle that wanted to come forward.

Carefully she placed her hand on the bed behind her so he wouldn't be able to see it. Lifting her head up from his shoulder she glanced slightly behind him to see where his tail was before she began leaning forward to kiss his cheek. Suddenly she grabbed onto it and kissed his cheek with more force than she would have normally before bursting into laughter.

His own head goes on top of hers when Dagger's head rests on his shoulder. He has to smile, he hadn't felt that in a long while. Despite everything that's happened within the past few weeks, he's smiling now. Happier than he's ever been.

Tail flinches a bit at her touch, then he relaxes it. People do have the habit of pulling on it, he grinned a bit at the memory of Daxter leaping out of the vents and yanking on his tail. Hadn't been the best introduction on Dax's part, but they were friends after that. Daxter was long gone now though.

The kiss on his cheek has him blushing a bit, then he turns to look her in the eyes, despite her laughter. His blue eyes meet hers and he keeps them there, not wanting to look away. He knows what he wants to do, but he can't bring himself to do it just yet.

His heart had soared at her kiss and at her touch. There was nothing else on his mind right now, all that mattered was his canary...

Dagger's laughter quickly quiets down when he looks her in the eyes. A blush started to creep onto her cheeks and this had her getting slightly nervous. How she wanted to look away with embarrassment, but she wasn't able to will herself to look away. All she wanted to do was look into his eyes. The blushing of her cheeks started to make her face feel hot and she was sure that her face was going to burst into flames the longer she looked into his eyes.

Hesitantly, she reached out and cupped his cheek. Her thumb brushed against his cheekbone as she smiled softly at him. There were things that she wanted to do, but she wasn't sure of the right thing. All these situations that he put her in stumped her time after time. It wasn't her fault or his. It was the fact that she had lived such a sheltered life that she wasn't exposed to these types of things.

Maybe.. Maybe she should wait and see what he does?

His hand reached up to grab at hers brushing against his cheek. A smile formed on his lips, overcome with emotion.

This shouldn't be so hard for him, but he hesitates a second longer. This place had taught him to treasure what's in front of him. All he could see was her in his eyes. He swears that he can see himself in her eyes. His other hand goes around her waist pulling her into a hug.

Emotion sky rockets and he presses his lips against hers, kissing her, gently. Not firm but soft. His eyes shut and his heart pounds in that single moment sending shivers through his spine. As he pulls away, his eyes watch her reaction...

A smile slipped across her face when he grabbed her hand, it was in return for the one he gave her and the happiness that came over her to have him touching her. Dagger interlaced his fingers with hers and squeezed his hand.

There was a lightning bolt that ran through her body when his lips pressed against hers; her heart was pounding faster than it ever had before and she squeezed his hand tighter. She almost couldn't believe that he was kissing her.

Quickly she closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss some - it was still soft and innocent. For a few seconds after he pulled away, Dagger's lips were still pursed slightly and her eyes were closed. Once she realized that he wasn't going to kiss her again, she opened her eyes and blushed slightly.

"An unexpected and very welcome surprise.." She leaned forward and pressed her forehead against his, her nose also bumped the tip of his.
