i'm not the same cause you're not the same
Who: Nike ([info]endlessvoid) and teen!Sora ([info]boss_kokkiku)
What: just some riding around in the air \o/
Where: rooftops of the city
When: now, likely~
Warnings: none.

And so did the Gem King decide his meeting with the young Sora a little more personal, little more fun, and a little more interesting than most. Then again, this was Sora, and he was Nike, and so, that special consideration for his one and only-- even if there were two now-- twin brother was understandable. Comments? Pah. It delegated into a conversation with the entirety of the community if left go on enough. Simple face to face would do.

Features, a curved line across his face, curved a little more inwards at the edges, those dark-lashed eyes kept barely open, rather amused and happy at the moment. Who wouldn't be almost-giddy at the fact there was another of the most important person in his life? This one, not so mature as the other, surely, but still, it was a side of Sora he'd not seen, excepting the past week, in many years.

He waited patiently, feet at the edge of the Hotel's rooftop, wind biting and rushing across his face. Those long, curly strands fell back, the few loose ones tugged to and fro with the light atmosphere and thin air.

Swift and light, the little Wind King bounded up to the rooftop via the balconies of the rooms below, hands tucked into the pockets of his almost oversized pants. He didn't need much to spring himself upward, really.

He flung something metallic into the air, letting it whirl above him, then jumped after. One last hop, launching himself over the edge of the roof, a feral silhouette covering the moon for a moment, rolling into a somersault, then landing with a playful twirl before the large man, wraps flickering softly around him as his skates halted at the last moment. He may be small, but he was still a flashy bastard about some things.

"Yo! ...woooow, you are pretty big after all." he pulled his hands from his pockets, just in time to catch the can of coffee he'd tossed a moment ago, opening it while making a bit of a mess.

"So, where to now?"

Watching from a distance Kilik observed the first meeting of the two, once again mismatched, brothers. His head was full with facts and information, stretching his understanding of what the world was and how it should be almost unbearably. Before the older version of the Sky had turned back time he might not have hesitated to approach, glad to have somebody more familiar here in this unfamiliar world. Somebody he had once tought he could trust with what was most important and precious.

But now, after realizing how early the seed of misgiving, jealousy and betrayal had begun to grow he didn't know how to act towards the young Wind King. And as words from both the older set of twins were filling his ears they were also firmly keeping his feet rooted to the ground, even as he called over to let them know of his presence.

The man smiled a little, waving a hand at Kilik, beckoning him over. He strode over to Sora, though, leaning down a little to the shorter one-- awkward, when, for ages of being the same height, you discover you're taller-- speaking, in those birdlike tones the two shared, "Dunno. Figured we'd tear it up something fierce, just bounce around a bit for a couple hours. Play~" remember when I was little-- would talk to no one else but you-- didn't need anyone else-- still don't, sora, thoughts crashed through his head in that usual muddled wave. It was worse, really, when the older one had deaged, but now, it was still odd, still smacking of that wonder, that unfailing loyalty to the boy before him.

And there, in the distance, another boy, not yet that Judas, not yet that hated one, tearing and ripping dreams apart-- would he hurt this Sora? Would it come to that? Nike would not leave this one alive, no. He'd left Kilik alive four, five years ago. killed, torn into tiny pieces, again and again and again, reduce that psyche to mush--"Yo, Kilik," he called, grin tearing his face almost in two. That cruel cut-- "Ya busy?"

Oh.. well that was a slight surprise. He wasn't expecting Kilik to tag along, but after hearing what his older self had said, his eye twitched at that familiar voice. He really didn't even want to face the other boy at the moment, lest he let himself take a swing at him. His body language might have been more than obvious in front of his brother, wolfen eyes opening just enough to give an almost aggravated look, his shoulders tensing.

He kept his mouth shut for now, keeping his ears open instead.

"Not at the moment." And for somebody who had never been a part of society this feeling of utter akwardness was quite unsettling. "I saw the journal entry." And that again had been so many shade of uncomfortable, esecially the part where they mentioned HER.... "I didn't mean to intrude." But he had to see him, the one that was all kinds of different from the other one, but maybe still the same with the worm working away on the inside, corrupting what had once been good and whole. "...Just came to say Hi." He finally finished, feet still not moving, still pretty much the entire roof and an ocean of unspoken words and sentiments between him and the brothers.

"Hi, then," the big man replied rather dryly. The crossed eyes, those lines of white quartering his pupils, observed Sora's movements, his change in attitude. It seemed that easy grace was dropped when he heard the other's approach. He almost gave a little laugh, instead, lessening it to an observatory "Hn," but still amused nevertheless. Quarrels between young boys over love-- his opinion on Rika was a little bias, he admitted, but it was still funny to see the atmosphere tighten with an electricity, sparks flying between the young Kings.

"As I was sayin," he turned his head back towards the little one, "haven't really gotten the chance to stretch my legs lately. I'll take ya on a tour o' the city, ne? Better ta see it when you can look down on it." Ah, and the light was dying-- even better, to see those sparks from the darkness, flying above, owning all you surveyed.

"Yea, sounds good ta me. All I hear's dogs yappin' up here anyway." He didn't even turn, just keeping himself facing his brother. He didn't like this feeling, really. He was trying to stay cool about it, sipping at his coffee again. The atmosphere was really uncomfortable right now, like somebody had kicked them into a deep dark pool of water. His fingers tapped against the side of the can with a jittery unorganized rhythm.

He was more than ready to just launch a kick into Kilik's face, to be honest. Waiting, waiting.. he had to be patient. There must be a good reason, right? His diplomatic nature kept him on a leash, when it came to things like this. He'd just have to let this flow for the moment. Or so he kept telling himself, over and over.

Featured tightened for a moment as the other boy's voice was carried over by the always helpful wind. Insults again - but this was not the one who had told him he was useless and not needed so maybe he should take a deep breath, be the bigger man...but what if he thought it? What if that had sentiment had always been there? Useless...it had never been HIM with that label down below. Always the others even if he had never understood why they had been judged as failures. And now..it stung, almost more than hearing about how he would be betrayed by his chosen family, would lose everything because of Sora's mad desire, would lose even himself.

"Childish insults. Minus ten points." It was out before he could even think better of it.

All too easily, Nike could see himself falling back into that old standard. Following Sora, his shadow, that which stood behind him and never wavered. It was what he'd always done. Watch, listen, follow his lead. Felt kind of odd taking his cues from the little one, but it had served him well so far. He put a hand to his own shoulder, rubbing his neck a moment as he continued speaking, "Let 'em yap. No one's listening, no one will. They're not more 'an annoyances." Tossing his head a little, he put that same hand to Sora's own shoulder, giving it a slight squeeze. Physical cues, of course.

The man let him go, then, putting a foot to the edge of the rooftop. As always, to those unused to AT, he looked a cross between a daredevil and just a suicidal case. The brunet looked back to Sora. If the young twin wanted to fight Kilik, go ahead. It was his own business-- Nike cared not. He'd be there this time to step in if it came to that-- doubtful, but a possibility. Mediating between his worst enemy and the only person he could ever trust in this world-- odd, odd indeed.

"One's gettin' pretty loud there. They can have this!"

Finishing his drink with one last sip, he threw it behind himself, whipping around for a good strong kick-- of course that meant the can was now careening straight at Kilik. Using the momentum from the swing of his leg, he pushed off from the roof, hopping after Nike. If Kilik really wanted to keep tagging along, Sora wasn't going to stop him. He was just out to spend time with his brother, as he'd been invited to.

Plummeting, the Gem King made no move to stop his descent, not right now. That rush, the dead fall, wind screaming in his ears, enveloped by the force, he closed his eyes, drawing a difficult breath before he straightened out, turning in the air, and diving at an angle for a nearby building, feet first. The man was pleased, very pleased, landing, leaving a little place in the wall of that building, perhaps a cracked window or two, before propelling himself off, wicked grin on his face.

"Sora!" He called, voice rolling with laughter, glee, even. He raised a hand toward his brother, watching him as he finally came off the roof into the air. Hadn't even bothered to hear what was said after he fell, but Nike was glad all the same.

This was much better than riding alone. Almost like before things got heavy in the AT world, where it was just you and the city-- the endless sky. The air was thick enough you could almost step on it. Instead, Sora drove his palms into it, parting the air currents as if he were swimming. That really was what the sky was like to him, while on his ATs; a giant swimming pool of air.

Falling... falling... a steep nosedive-- but he won't hit the ground, no. Instead of that, he uses that thick air as a cushion, swinging his palms to bend it to his will beneath him, rebounding his body before it even had a chance to be even a foot from the concrete. Using that bounce, he kicked off the newly formed air pocket itself, setting off Bagram's claw-like blades for a moment as he launched upward again. This wasn't exactly something he could do all the time-- it did require just the right amount of wind pressure to begin with. This is one of the reasons he was the Wind King, after all. Control of his element.

Falling to the ground again, he aimed for a lightpost, springing himself off it and after Nike yet again.

The Gem King grinned, he didn't have that palpable control of the wind as Sora, but his was effective enough. He put weight into his hips and swung backwards, bringing himself in a graceful flip before ricocheting off another building, taking his time with each jump, feeling the hard shock to his knees every time that satisfying crumble of the concrete under his skates rang out. Heading upwards again, the brunet was grinning, predatory gleam in his eye, but it wasn't the usual. No, this one was pure delight, pursuing that sky, that freedom, the weight from his shoulders lifting as he soared through the night sky.

Just for the fun of it-- a taste of his youth again. Five short years, this much change. His palms outstretched towards that very sky, gathering the wind in them to form a wall underneath him, a slight burst. Riding AT-- Sora's dream, the sky free for ALL the gravity children, real and palpable and there and true, holding each of them, boundless.
