Whole Person (Tseng's Epilogue)
October 3rd, 2014
9 a.m.
Tokyo, Japan.
Coming to terms with the semi-psychotic half of your psyche was interesting to say the least, especially when you had to come to the realisation that you were far more capable than you'd ever given yourself credit for.
Tseng was different, but it was a good different.
He had the confidence that he'd lacked previously, but it hadn't changed him as a person, he was still completely dorky and said the wrong things, but he had his moments of self assurance and certainty.
The very same moments that had led him to buying two return tickets to Japan, one for him and the other for Jessica.
Thankfully she'd said yes, even if she hadn't realised that it did in fact require getting on a plane and traveling long distances. She'd been a little freaked out, but after a little while she'd been way too distracted by the clouds and everything had settled from there.
She'd been so interested in Japan that Tseng had wanted to show her his birthplace first hand with a native spin on things. It wasn't the same experience as most tourists had, but that was the point, Tseng wanted Jessica to see the actual Japan, not the Japan that most people got to see.
The next couple of months were going to be good and then they'd head back to Chicago and figure everything else from there.
Life was changing, but hopefully for the better.
