| Kathleen's Diary Entry (Inquisitor) |
[03 Jun 2009|02:20am] |
Inside the abandoned warehouse that the Inquisitor's had made into a base camp, Mrs. Guevera sat on a wooden crate on the loading dock facing the western sky as the sun began to set. Kathleen pulled out her personal diary out of her tunic, one that she took with her to record her thoughts during down times. She placed her thumb on the reader of the brass locking mechanism surrounding the cover of her diary. The finger print scan identified her as the rightful owner of the diary and unlocked. She opened it to the next empty page, and began to write.

| Partnering up on patrol |

It was three to one, and Connor already had vamp dust in his hair and on his shirt. He didn't know why vamps insisted on roaming in packs, since that made them easier to track, but it if made his work quicker, then fine. The Destroyer kicked the shortest of the trio into the tallest one, then grappled with the third until he was able to get the bloodsucker into a chokehold. He got a grip on the vampire's jaw, twisted hard to the right. There was a crack, then a fast-fading scream as the body dissolved into ashes. So strong, but also so fragile in so many ways.
Connor brushed at his shirt, and the other two decided to set on him together. They went crashing into a group of garbage cans, spilling trash and making a racket as they traded blows and curses. Two to one was the only way they stood a chance, anyway. He hadn't had fun like this in a while. Juliet heard the crashing noises coming from the mouth of the alley she was approaching. She'd tended to spend more time patrolling on sealed concrete since the time in the park, especially as it was all on her own now. Whatever Elf-lady, as she still thought of her, had in mind was probably going to be just as dangerous here, but Juliet felt an irrational sense of unease when she walked on bare ground for the time being. She had broken into a jog when she'd heard the sound of a fight and she rounded the corner to see two vamps climbing out of a pile of trash and setting onto another who looked vaguely familiar. She slowed to a walk again when she saw that the solo fighter was quite capably handling himself, almost like he was toying with the two, getting a bit of a workout with them. She stopped, close enough to get involved if things turned, but fairly sure he wasn't needing any assistance. Juliet leaned against a wall, shoved a hand in her back pocket and watched his moves.

The Inquisitors on a whole were cold and methodical, unaffected by emotion and untroubled by the acts of brutality taken out by their own hand.
Tseng was one of the colder more unattached Inquisitors, swearing his undying loyalty to their ideals and giving all of his time to them. He hadn't allowed himself to be distracted by the pleasures of the flesh or the complications of marriage.
After having split away from Connor, Tseng had taken to the streets of this Chicago - to delve deeper into this new world, learn its culture and become accustomed to the inner workings of this new universe.
