So, I have "graduated." All that means is that I walked across a stage and received a cover for a diploma I might not get if the school finds reason to hold it. But they have no reason to do that. I passed all my classes and such. Right now, I'm waiting for everything to go through so they can send my information to the Illinois State Board of Education so I can go through the steps to get my certificate (soon to be licensure). They better hurry. I have a summer school job.

I also have two interviews for schools in Kansas. Apparently, I'm good enough for that state but not the one I'm living in. Meh. I've also been looking at other states, mainly Virginia and Massachusetts. Why those two states? Because I miss VA and decided in high school I wouldn't mind living in MA someday. I've never been there before, but it's a cool state. Because I said so. (Disclaimer: I don't mind Kansas either, but it's not the east or west coast. Yes, I wouldn't mind living in Washington, Oregon, or northern California either.)

And, I'm rambling. I really hope I don't do that during the interviews.

I still need to write my narratives for Landvik. I was thinking of doing that this week, but I decided to spend time doing other things, which I hope no one minds. It was just kind of nice sitting around and doing nothing. But that means I need to get my ass in gear over at Savage Gardens or I'm going to be kicked out. I was also thinking of doing other things...

But I am still working up the courage for it. XD It's hard, okay! I can write a novel but goodness me, my cover letters always end up looking like shit.

Anyway. So I am going to loosen up my nerves a bit first and do the 15-day meme which I was going to do one way or another, I guess, lol. It was just really a matter of convincing myself that it could still be fun after doing a total of 60 days of RP meme which make these questions unoriginal. But I figured, those memes were done in the past and I have new friends rn so why the hell not, right?

Anyway, I've got a number of favorite characters I've made, of course, for obvious reasons, not least of which is the fact that I've been RPing since 1999 or something. And I am not in the mood to recount my entire history of it (this after I just watched Game of Thrones 3x07 lolol) so here are the first five favorite characters I've ever made to pop in my head. 1. My laptop is dead and my charger has given up the ghost, so for the moment my computer time is...flexible. Let's call it that. That sounds nice.

2. I have a surprisingly wide excitables list for next year. Black Sails, Sleepy Hollow, Gothica, tentatively Almost Human...but like Defiance, I think I'm going to try and wait it out until season one is finished before I start watching. I've discovered I do much better that way? BUT IT'S HAAAARD

3. I'd be excited about Epic - and I'm seeing it everywhere - except Fungus Grotto is a carbon copy of their plot, only progressive. Like, the 'goes to the miniature/otherwise alien-yet-familiar world is a familiar plot points, especially with fairies and lost parental figures and size shifts (I think Alice in Wonderland influenced the form that a lot of Western 'under the mound' type stories take hugely) and it looks like this takes a seriously different form, but at the same time I keep thinking - I saw this. It had a WOC as a lead, with a live and active female beloved parental figure, and I waaaaant that one. Anyway, who knows. It would be a good family film so when it comes out I might use it to tug Mom and Sam out of the house, and I'll keep an open mind.

4. I thought I was fully done with TVD, but I went back out of curiosity to watch the last episode, and now the events of the finale (which I knew better than to watch) have been so vile to hear about I suspect my brief dip in the pool has left me scummy with lingering investment.

5. I am drinking REALLY GOOD VODKA tonight.

I am officially a member of the UVA law school class of 2016!

I just put my deposit down.

This time three years from now, I will be a practicing lawyer or a disillusioned law school drop out who doesn't know shit about Hemingway and is working on an unsuccessful zombie book.

Not sure which sounds like more fun, tbh.

As of two weeks ago, my screen was going black suddenly, forcing me to turn off my computer and turn it back on, getting up to 3/4 times a day (had happened occasionally since then). I had a hardware and software reset done (getting helped over the phone), but it happened about once a week since then, including yesterday. While on the phone, I saw a batter warning.

So yesterday I went to Apple, and I got my computer looked at. Yes it had a bad battery. But also a bad graphics card, and it turned out my hard drive had problems too! So I went home and backed up basically all my documents, media, so forth, and brought it in to get fixed. This morning, after a couple of hours, I also got my applications and preferences and the likes brought back over. I also have transferred back my things. Unfortunately, my icons (not for PBs, but like... to use here/on LJ) didn't copy and some of my music, decent-ish amount of my music actually. I'm looking into getting a SATA --> USB adaptor, but I'm not sure if I need to get an enclosure for my hard drive for that to work or not.

Anyway, the point is I need to name my new hard drive. My computer is female, and I usually like to name my electronics after authors/poets. So... any suggestions? My old hard drive is Nikki Giovanni. And I had Virginia Woolf before this. =D

I am going to be playing an aged up Tina Belcher. This is way more intimidating than I thought it would be when I went "oh, this sounds like fun!" I mean, I'm sure it will be great, but now I just want to absorb all of the Bob's Burgers I possibly can and take notes so I don't write her wrong.

I keep rereading notaplanet's entries and wondering how I managed to be that good. I don't feel as if my recent RP work is that good. I want that back.
