The marionettes shook on their strings as spirits dodged in and out of them. Ghede had sank down onto the edge of the stage, his head in his hands. He was applying pressure to his forehead to try and ease the throbbing headache, for all the good it did.

There was a murmur through the energy, and he lifted his head. "Pretty little thing approaches, have you led her to us? Very thoughtful."

"Over my undead body," Ghede growled. He flicked his hand, and a few of the spirits were dislodged from around his head, streaming around the room as though in an invisible hurricane.
