Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Caleb & Margaery
What: Getting set up.
When: October 19th, late afternoon
Where: Margo's shop on the Midway
Rating: PG-13 for flirting!

The shop was small, barely enough space for a counter and a handful of customers – and even then, the space was tight. But it was perfect. The moment that Margo opened the shopfront, she felt at home.

It hadn't taken her long to start making the place her own. Hooks were added to the open 'window' into the store, making a perfect display for hanging pendants and necklaces. Small, colorful class bottles were draped with bangles and bracelets. The walls were hung with 'trees' created to hang jewelry from, everything from necklaces to rings.

The most expensive pieces were kept close to the counter, close at hand to the redheaded shopkeeper – she didn't want them far from her until they were ready to go to their new homes and continue their long histories.

Margo was leaning up against the outside of the little shopfront, leaning against the little counter in order to hang necklaces from the books.

Caleb was trying to get back into the swing of things. He'd been gone months in search of someone to break the wretched curse he'd been force to live with his entire life. In the end however, things just hadn't panned out the way it had hoped. It had been a crushing blow, but one he took in stride, finally resigning himself to his fate. This was just the way things had to be he supposed. Not that the hound had minded, finally ceasing his grumbling, all to happy to be sticking around. At least the arguing had stopped.

Now Caleb was doing his usual, making his rounds around the cirque to make sure things remained nice a quiet. It hadn't been his intention to talk to anyone, not really, but spotting the cute little red head setting up shop had made him pause. With a quirk of his brow, he made his way over to the shop and to her with a smile on his face.

"Afternoon, Margaery right?" he said by way of greeting, his smile pleasant. "Do you need any help?"

As far as redheads went, this one painted a pretty little picture. Margo was dressed for her night at the Cirque, strange as that was for her – she hadn't known exactly what to make of the Ringmaster's comment that she would need to be properly costumed... at least until she had arrived at the costumers. It had been an extremely enjoyable game of dress-up, but she was feeling a little self-conscious nonetheless.

At the voice behind her, Margaery half-turned, her hands still full of necklaces, the chains and pendants dangling between her fingers. "Oh! Yeah, that's me. Umm... do you mind? I could use a bit of a hand."

Self conscious or no, Caleb had no problem admitting that Margaery was beautiful though he didn't try to be respectful and tried not to stare. With a smile, one of his bests, he shook his head.

"Not at all," he said stepping closer. "What do you need me to do?" Mentally he gave a sigh as his constant companion snorted in response to his efforts, not that he let any of that show outwardly. There was no need to scare her away and have her running for the hills before he really had a chance to get to know her.
