Letha ([info]nebulae) wrote in [info]cirque_rp,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Marco & Aletha
What: Fairy Tale Bingo - Breadcrumbs
When: Early afternoon, June 4
Where: Throughout the Cirque
Rating: TBA.

The day of the move couldn't have come soon enough for Letha. Danvers had been strange, but they had only been there a couple of days; she hadn't really even gotten a handle on everything that had been going on before they were re-settled in Rome. It should have been better, so much better than the dark little Massachusetts town they had just left. It had been so promising!

But then everything had gone to hell. It was hard to imagine getting burned out on Italy so quickly, but she had. Along with everything else, it seemed like. Marco, at least, was ready to go. She could feel the tension in him, sense his anxiety and sense of foreboding every day that they opened their eyes there. His distress pulled at her, and she knew she had been as clingy toward him as he had been hover-y toward her. Cooking and baking hadn't helped, making herself available while she helped out around the damaged Midway hadn't seemed to ease him very much. A little, but not enough.

She was hoping that getting out of Ostia would do the trick, but the move was still hours away, and if she was feeling restless and anxious, she knew that Marco must be as well. At the very least that he would smell it on her and react in kind. The decision that came from this was impulsive, maybe silly – but she went with it before she could change her mind. Slipping out of their trailer, she wove a complicated path around the grounds, spreading her scent out before settling. The first stop was the Carousel, where she took cover in one of the sleigh-style seats before tapping out a text, the cool-water scent of her pooling there with every passing moment.

>> you're it.

Marco was not happy suddenly being nomadic. He hadn't realized the strain it would put on him to not have a real place to settle. Sure, the circus was home now and for the most part it felt the same day in and day out, but they were always relocating. As soon as he thought things were going to go well they were suddenly uprooted and on to another place. He was exaggerating, he knew that, even in his own head he knew that two moves did not mean that eternity would feel the same as it did today. As much as he wanted out of Rome, he wasn't looking forward to trying to get used to a whole new place, again, either.

It helped that Aletha was near and seemed to realize that he needed her near even when she couldn't really be near. He loved that she could sense that about him without needing to be asked, because he wasn't going to ask. He wanted to spend as much time with her as possible if for no other reason than to know she was safe. It was wearing on his nerves and he was sure it was upsetting Leth just as much, if not more, to suddenly have the rock in her life be anxious about unforeseen problems.

By the time the text rolled through Marco was just starting to wake from a nap. He'd been fed into a coma and though he probably should have been out doing something he'd chosen to fall asleep with Letha's scent wrapped against his face as he used her pillow to lay on. Groggy he grabbed his phone and blinked as he tried to unlock the screen twice. Finally the text was in view and he cocked his brow as he replied before pushing his face back into her pillow.

>>I didn't do it. Come to bed for the sleep.

There were other precautions taken, things that she thought about as she waited for him to join the game. Marco was bright; even if he was sleepy, which she assumed he would be after leaving him sleeping, he would figure things out. It seemed like the sort of thing that would appeal to him, the sort of hunt-and-find thing that would get the attention of his inner wolf. She had never seen him so stressed before, so unsure – but she would do what she could to help rather than worrying uselessly.

>> Can't. You have to come to me.
>> Those are the rules, corazón.

Letha took a few more moments to silence her phone, disabling even the vibration, before she slipped out of her hiding place and moved on. Marco wouldn't take too long to find the place where her scent had gathered; she had been watching him hunt before she could really understand what he was doing. It was time to pick another spot, otherwise he would catch her before she was ready.

It felt like an hour passed before the vibrations from his phone dragged him back to consciousness. Bleary eyed he looked over the text, cocked his brow, groaned, and finally pushed himself up so he could sit on the edge of the bed. His free hand moving to run through his hair before scratching at the back of his neck. A long stretch of his arms upward and then outward given before he finally brought the phone back up so he could text back.

>>Don't believe you're making me put pants on.

Pants were the enemy, she knew that, she was going to pay for this! Even the joke in his head made him laugh outwardly before a gentle smile tugged at his lips. He truly adored Aletha like no other - sometimes he couldn't believe he'd been lucky enough to have her in his life. All the troubles they seemed to bring to themselves were nothing compared to the happiness she filled him with. He didn't know why she was playing a little hide-and-go-seek, but it was lighthearted, silly, and something she would do to see him smile. That was good enough for him.

Moments later he left their trailer locked up behind him. Dark denim jeans, black t-shirt, messy bed-head hair, and bare feet carrying him towards her scent.

>>What's my prize when I find you?

>> Aww, pobrecito! Not pants!

At the very least, her little game would give him something real to do. Marco was just no good at being idle, and despite the circus slowly coming back together around them, he had too much energy. He would feel better once their routine was re-established, Letha was sure. Until then, she would just have to improvise.

Her next stop, tucked just inside the door to a closed game, was a good place to observe from. Far enough away and hidden from the shifting wind, so that she could control what he smelled of her, but close enough to catch sight of him as he made his way toward the Carousel.

>> It's a secret. You'll have to trust me.

Her first text was given a roll of his eyes before the phone was placed in his hip pocket so he could focus on her scent. It was the only scent he constantly seemed to pick up on, even in the chaos of that evening she had been there on the breeze. A weak scent from ten minutes before, maybe, but he'd still caught it and followed it to the tent she'd been carried off to by the Stacy person. He could find her pretty quickly, he was sure of it.

Her scent became stronger near the carousel so he made his way towards the ride, but only close enough to realize she wasn't on the ride. Her scent was thicker there, but not fresh. There was no one there that caught his eyes as being her and her scent wasn't wafting towards him from anywhere near the carousel. Instead of moving closer he tipped his head to the side and took a deep breath and eventually picking up the trail. Tricky, tricky.

>>Always mi amor.
>>Just tell me, are you wearing a skirt?

Chuckling as he tucked his phone away again so he could follow the new trail, not bothering to look ahead too much more than to make sure he wouldn't crash into someone.

Seeing him move toward the carousel was enough, and Letha slipped out of her hiding place and deeper into the maze of tents. It was almost a shame that they would be leaving; if it had been anywhere else, she might have been annoyed that she would have to learn yet another layout for the attractions just when she was beginning to get used to this one.

>> Asking me what I'm wearing?
>> I have a very protective older brother, you know.

She didn't stay as long, this time, leading him with brushes of her scent against things – the entrance to the Seance tent, the side of the Weather tent. If she could trust Marco with anything, it was to stubbornly refuse to lose the game, lighthearted as it was.

There was only one more lengthy stop, where her scent pooled in the Dining Hall, mixing with the ever-present smells of food, savory and sweet things melding together until there was almost no difference between them. And then the silvery-fresh scent of the witch's power layered over it, lingering and then disappearing back out into the circus.

By the time he followed the trail she had created, everything was ready. The entrance to the Stargazer was tied halfway open, and Letha's unmistakable smell was fresh inside, filling up the small space. There were other scents – a selection of food that she had pilfered from the Dining Hall, the clean linen scent of the blanket that the witch was stretched out on. "You're so slow," she teased, turning her head toward him, her hands not moving from where they were propped behind her head. "I thought you were supposed to be some great hunter, hmm?"

There was a shake of his head and a chuckle as he read her text. What the hell, Aletha? The thought coming playfully as he paused at the closed game she'd gone to and obviously rested momentarily since her scent was still thick but fading.

>>I have a beautiful sister who is really good with protective brothers. Don't worry.

Again he shook his head as he pressed the message to send, smirking while replacing his phone in his pocket so he could focus on her scent once more. The task becoming slightly difficult as the Dining Hall came into view and he was no longer sure if he was following her or the scent of food. Savory dishes catching his attention momentarily as his stomach rumbled, nothing like a nap to make you hungry! He spent longer than necessary in the hall just making himself hungry.

The brush of cool energy snapped his attention back to his task and he eagerly turned to follow. Another tent coming into view, familiar, but he was unsure if he truly knew it to be what it was - all the moving the tents did was rather annoying for the wolf. Still he followed Aletha's scent inward, as there didn't seem to be a secondary trail of her fleeing the scene. The hints of fresh linen, food, and Leth curling in the space made Marco smile as he wandered inward and finally found his prey.

"You cheated. You knew my weakness and exploited it," he smiled and though he didn't laugh outright it was there in the tone of his voice. He was happy to be there and happy to have been forced out on a sort of prowl through the grounds. He moved to the blanket and easily slid low onto his hands so he could crawl up the length of her figure, off to her right side so as not to crush her as he finally dropped onto the blanket with his arm curling around her waist, head propping up on his free hand so he could look down at her.

"Do I tell yo I love you enough?" He asked almost dreamily as his thumb began moving slow circles over her waist and torso.

"That isn't cheating," Aletha commented blithely, a couple of smug notes hidden deep in her tone. "That's paying attention. You should be pleased that I picked up on some of your skills." She had, after all, lived her whole life with the Pack. If she had learned nothing at all, she would have been a disappointment both as a woman and a witch.

Watching him prowl up the length of her body admittedly raised her temperature a couple of degrees at her core, and she turned a little toward him as he got comfortable beside her, molding the curves of her smaller body up against him. "Never enough. But I will forgive you, mi cielo, because I think it's my own greediness at fault." Around them, the Stargazer tent was quiet and serene, dark despite it being the middle of the day outside. Over their heads the night sky was already visible, clear except for a few wispy clouds moving across the enchanted starscape.

"I thought you might be bored, waiting for the move. I know I was, waiting for you to wake up." The smile that curved the corner of her mouth was playful, but even her teasing was adoring.

"My skills?" He questioned with a cock of his brow as if she'd somehow mistaken him for someone else. "I'm a hunter, not the hunted," a smirk teasing his features as his hand moved from her waist up over her body to settle near her cheek so he could tease the pad of his thumb along her lower lip. "Surely you've never seen me try to mask my scent, but I'm happy you learned from the others." Which was true. He hadn't realized how delicate she truly was until they'd moved here. Getting used to that was a bother and not something he was taking easily. He enjoyed the Pack, but he hadn't realized he'd been so reliant on the construct to keep Letha safe when he wasn't around.

"True," he agreed with her with a slight nod and a thoughtful look. "You indeed are the greediest woman I've ever known," and in some ways that was true. Her greed was only matched by his own when it came to wanting one another. "There are plenty of ways you could have woken me," he teased as he moved his hand down towards her neck to pet across her and over towards her shoulder, "ways that would have kept us busy for hours," he whispered against her lips as he finally leaned forward enough over her to kiss her.

The tent was lovely. The scent almost cleansing with the wash of nature and then Letha, but he'd stopped stargazing once he'd allowed himself to give in to his need for Aletha. She truly was his sky and every star was dull in comparison to her light. He enjoyed stargazing because it offered him time to stare at her as she lost herself in the sky - if he could paint he would paint those moments, when she looked so distant, but remained so physically near. Maybe it was her magic, but Marco loved being with her in those relaxed moments of silence and as the kiss broke he shifted enough to allow her to look up without him in the way, "this is nice, too," he offered idly as he moved to rest his head against his arm and lay with her.

"I meant 'you' in a broader sense," she clarified, his teasing winning a wry smile from her before she became distracted by the drift of his fingers. Her lips tilted, pressing a kiss against the pad of his thumb ever so sweetly. But the next moment it was caught gently between her teeth, her tongue flickering against the skin before she pulled away. "You're supposed to be being impressed – cooperate."

She couldn't disagree with his assessment, though. They were both still in a place where they could be consumed by one another, by the opportunity to be together. It was still thrilling for Letha to be able to curl up against him without thinking about who was watching, or to lift her mouth to his without worrying. It didn't matter how often they were seen together, or where. No one cared that they went to the same bed every night. It was a heady sort of freedom, one that she wasn't nearly done indulging in. Which was fine, because he seemed just as dedicated to enjoying it.

His hand petting across her shoulder changed the adoring quality of her smile to something with more heat, need for his touch always simmering just beneath the surface. Sometimes she wondered if it felt a little like his wolf, always just waiting to be stroked to life, always present. It also served to brush the strap of her simple tank down over the curve of her shoulder; Letha left it there, making no move to correct it. And when he pulled away, like he might settle instead of kissing her, she moved a hand to press against his chest, her fingers curling in the fabric of his shirt and tugging him back.

"And who says that I don't want to keep you busy for hours, my heart?" There was a little pulse of her magic, the scent of it becoming stronger, and then the quiet sound of the tent flap dropping closed. Such physical manifestations of Letha's power were rare, but she could manage small things without too much strain. "There are always stars. It's you that I miss..."

Brow cocked as he looked from her hand at his chest to her face, for anyone else that look would have been a warning to get their fucking hands off of him before violence took place. For her it was a look of something more like: Are you starting this? Here? Really? Really?

Verbal answers weren't necessary though as his eyes traveled towards the front of the tent at the rustle of fabric just in time to watch the flap close. Magic. God damn magic. It didn't upset him when she used it, but physical manifestations still gave him cause for pause. A smirk curling his lips as his eyes returned to her, his hand moving from where he'd started to pet along her and instead move to rest gently at the back of her hand against his chest, "Mi amor," the tone just above a whisper as he moved to lean over her more, "mi luz, there could never be darkness deep enough to keep us apart," the words whispered against her lips.

Everything from the scent of food to the fact that they weren't actually under a starry night sky was forgotten as the arm he'd been resting on moved gently under Aletha so he could cradle her gently, lift her just a little, and kiss her passionately as they lay there in the beginnings of twining their bodies and enjoying the precious moments they had alone. It was fun waking up next to her and giving in to whatever whim they had, but the fact that she had gone through the trouble to occupy more than just his body and didn't browbeat him for his anxieties - how could he not feel like the most blessed man around?

Really. His arched brow got him nothing more than the wicked, pleased curve of her lips. Especially when he shifted to settle more above her, when he arranged his arms to slide beneath her and pull her close. Yes, she could have kept all of this in their trailer – but where was the fun in that? The chase, however brief and lighthearted, seemed to have lifted some of the weight off his shoulders. And Letha had a good idea of how to take care of the rest.

"No," she agreed, her lips moving against his as they hovered close, his hand over hers. "You're written in my stars, Marco. And you're stuck with me in yours." Having this side of him, this sweet part of him, all to herself was such a heady thing. Letha had always longed to be the one that he was exchanging endearments with, but the fantasy couldn't hold a candle to the reality. It was probably silly that he should make her pulse race so easily, but there was no denying it.

Humming against his lips when they sought hers, the witch wound herself around him – not rushing, but steadily pulling closer. Until he was inside her, moving up against her bare skin, he was too far.

Going slow was a foreign idea for Marco when in relation with Aletha. They'd only ever known rushed caresses, quick kisses, knowing looks from across separate sides of a room parted by friends and family alike. The idea that he could take his time with her was something he'd longed for, but even with the opportunity he couldn't keep his mind from running away with what he wanted to do. How to move to touch every place he knew she liked, kiss every bit of exposed flesh he could, and how to push their clothing away for easy access and easy - swift ability to pull them back on or up.

There had been so much rushing that he wasn't sure how to take his time, but he followed Letha's figure under him. Heated, passionate, needful, but somehow remaining at a simmer when he was already at his boiling point. All it took was her kiss, a well timed caress, and the baring of something so simply as her shoulder and Marco was a gone man.

One moment he was at her side and the next, as her limbs moved to entwine around him, he was there between her legs. Fitted like a puzzle piece, simply made there to be with her. "Mi amor, you are my sky and the light that fills it all at the same time," he whispered along her jawline as he moved from kissing her lips to teasing his lips against her skin and towards her neck so he could nuzzle in that sweet area at her throat where her scent always seemed to pool. His free hand trailing down her body and scrunching up her skirt inch by inch until he could slip his hand under the hem and stroke her thigh.

Nibbles came, teeth grazing along her throat with playful tugs that wouldn't leave marks, but felt sharp all the same. Shifting to lean most of his weight against the arm under her so he could kiss down along her collar and lower before his hand pulled from under her skirt and up to palm her breast eagerly. Were they being watched? Was someone there with them? Maybe - he couldn't tell, there was nothing but her and the need he had as he moved to tug her up from her back and sit up right with him kneeling between her thighs. Tugging her up against his thighs so she was still pressed tightly to him.

The rush to be together was something she could understand; there had been so much secrecy between them before, so many hurried moments where they should have been able to take their time. But Letha was getting comfortable in the circus, comfortable enough to start indulging in the things she had worried about never having. Curling up in Marco's arms every night had seemed impossible a year before it happened, just like privacy without fear of being caught or being together in public.

There it was, though, and patience and the cooler nature of her allowed Letha to slow down. She could feel the heat rolling off her lover, the way that the beast inside him egged his passion on. It was heady stuff, wonderful and erotic – but still, she kept her own head, refusing to get too caught up to savor what it was like to be with him like this. Without rushing or hiding, without any sort of fear.

Her head tipped back at the path his lips took, opening the curve of her throat for him even as she chuckled warmly, adoringly at his words. "You've been reading poetry books again," she teased him – but it was gentle and loving, and she had no doubt that he knew that she tucked every one of those words away in her heart. It seemed to flutter and skip for his touch, even now, to stutter when his fingers were brushing her skirt aside and stroking over her thigh. His fingers always seemed to know just how she wanted to be touched; it was almost unfair that he should be so good at giving her just what she needed.

Aside from the two of them, the tent was empty and quiet, only their breathing breaking the silence. Honestly, though, Letha wouldn't have cared if someone had been there in the dark with them, watching them. There was no one in the circus that they had to hide from, after all. She shifted up from her back when he pulled, her arms sliding around his shoulders, her thighs parted around his.

"One of us has to be the romantic," Marco jested as Aletha teased him about poetry. He loved when she teased him though. He loved having every facet of herself to him and that she didn't feel the need to quiet any part of her personality with him. Besides, it was obvious that she was romantic - she'd decided to do all this for him just because she could tell he wasn't feeling on top of his game and didn't want him to sulk like some big grumpy ghost-wolf around their home. Who could ask for more, if anything he needed to do more for her.

With her sitting in his lap he allowed his left arm to wrap around her waist so his hand could lay tenderly against the curve of her backside where his fingers could brush along her just over her skirt. He nipped at her lower lips as her arms wrapped around him before gently nudging the tip of his nose against hers. A smirk tugging at his lips, "Thank you," he finally murmured against her lips before kissing her slowly. Not bothering to open his mouth let alone slobber over her or create something lustful when intimate and appreciation was all he felt. Plus he could feel her cooling magic sliding along his skin to keep his heat from overwhelming both of them, he could do his part to keep the tone from boiling over too quickly, too.

His free hand eventually did return to her bare thigh after slipping under her skirt once more. His lips only parting against her own to gain entrance as his fingers moved to tease along her panties and follow around behind her so he could squeeze her ass before sliding his fingers lower between her spread thighs from behind so he could tease her from over her panties.
