Who: Rhine & Jim What: Shenanigans in Salem When: May 25th, late afternoon Where: Jim's trailer, then off to Salem! Rating: R for probable gore!
Rhine had been quiet since they'd come to Danvers, unsettled by the new location for reasons she couldn't entirely explain. It was something about the scent, she thought. Most of the time it was fine, but just when she started to relax there seemed to be a whiff of rot – like there was something decaying just around the next corner. If it had been constant, she would have been fine. But it came and went, sneaking up on her, and she didn't care for that at all.
Still, it was just a week. How bad could it be? She'd asked herself that before everyone started freaking out, of course, and now sort of regretted it, like she had challenged the universe and the universe had bitch-slapped them all because of it. Vague sense of regret or not, though, she had decided to keep her head down, work through it, and let everyone handle their own business. At least until Jim started having problems. Rhine might not have been willing to try and help in a general sense, but Jim was her friend, someone she genuinely liked.
She'd caught a glimpse of him about earlier (leaving one of the new guys a note, it looked like) and so she didn't feel like knocking on his trailer door would be a problem. "Jaaaa-aaaaammmes," she called in one of her sweetest voices, leaning against the door in order to be heard. "Come out, I have an offer you can't refuse!"
