"You have a wide-eyed look about you," Nevenka admitted with a little nod, enjoying Cordy already. "I believe that everyone who ends up here is meant to, one way or another, so if you saw the burlesque and it called, then this is where you definitely belong." She looked behind her towards the dressing tables and gestured to one of them. "You can have this spot if you'd like," she told her, walking over to stand in the space between that table and her own.
While the table she was showing to Cordy was empty and blank, Nevenka's table was covered in different makeup and jewellery, along with notes and small trinkets. Taped to the mirror were photos of various other people in the circus that she had come to love.
