Mona just nodded in response to her first question, not moving at all when Dia wiped at her face and her throat. "He said he wanted me phone and my wallet and then I- stupid! - I didn't want to give them to him, so I tried to hit him, but he was holding my arm-" she squeezed the section of her forearm where she could still feel his grip. "And then he hit me and then he had a knife and so... so I just gave him the stuff and then he let me go and I just ran. He told me to run away." She took a long shuddering breath. "He called me a bitch and he told me to run away."
She looked over at Dia, taking her in properly for the first time. She nodded quickly to question about where she worked. She didn't know this woman, but she liked being told I'll look after you.
