Not dumb, language is fascinating. And since you shared, I thought I'd share a little too.
There are two main types of what you'd call creole that are spoken here in America: Haitian and Louisiana. They both have their roots in French, and both came about as a result of the French going all over the place. I'll admit, I don't know much more about the Louisiana kind beyond that.
Haitian, though, my people speak that. Mixes the French with the romance and African languages, makes it something unique. It's beautiful to sit and listen to.
