The symphony tent was as beautiful and haunting as it ever was, a verifiable labyrinth of beautifully sculpted ice chimes that weaved themselves together like so much lace, trailing along the walls and ceiling in stunning, delicate patterns. It was cold enough inside to cause the spectator's breath to fog before them, a start contrast to the suffocating, humid heat of the air outside. An otherworldly glow, soft and violet, illuminated the space, brightening and dimming in time with the undulating melody that lilted through the unique and enormous instruments; the chimes captured the light and glimmered like chandelier crystals, casting dancing shadows across the walls and floors of the tent.
A woman could be seen, flitting in and out of focus, spinning and dancing gracefully, her long silver cape and skirts sending ice particles sweeping across the floor with her movement. She materialized behind a small child who gaped in awe of a large, hanging chime and sent a soft wind through her hair, blowing it playfully across her face; the child gasped and turned to face her, her jaw hanging lower still when she beheld the smiling blonde woman whose hair and clothing continued to move even after she had stopped dancing. She waved her hands and snow spiraled up from the floor to surround the young girl, who giggled in delight at the spectacle, before vanishing once again to continue her patrol of the tent.
She paused by the entrance, though, to inspect the tall man who entered. She was instantly struck by the familiar set of his shoulders, the long blonde hair and nordic features... of course it was not him, she knew, but still, the resemblance was enough to have caused her heart to lurch unexpectedly against her breast. She recovered quickly enough though and swept her skirt out to execute a delicate curtsy, a smile gracing the corner of her lips.
