Sisters in the faith:
While attending tonight's services, I was struck by a passage of particular interest. I present it here for your study, and perhaps as an inspiration to another great work of art in our honored tradition.
Psalm 129, 1-4 ("Saepe expugnaverunt")
They have greatly oppressed me from my youth -— let Israel say -- they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me. They have plowed my back and prolonged their iniquity. But the LORD is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.
