Chromatic Vision Archive

Chromatic Vision will be having an opt-in archive to host fannish works that come from the challenge. The archive will be located at AO3 (Archive of Our Own) here.

What is AO3?
AO3 stands for Archive of Our Own. It is a multi-fandom archive that also allows for RPF/RPS. If you wish to know more about AO3 in general, please read their FAQ here.

Why is the archive at AO3?
AO3 is multi-fandom, allows for RPF/RPS, allows for any rating, and because AO3 is now home to Yuletide and soon to be other challenges and fests. This fact gives the participants at Chromatic Vision wider exposure for their works.

Do I need an account at AO3 to be included in the Chromatic Vision Archive?
No, you do not. The way works will be uploaded to the archive at AO3 is through coauthoring, a method used to help people upload during Yuletide. If you currently have an AO3 account, please let the mods know so we can remove the ChromaticVision user and leave you as the sole "author" in the archive. If you do not have an account, your name will still be listed as creator and it will mention as such in the work itself.

If you would like an AO3 account invite, please let the mods know so we can obtain one for you. Or you can add your name to the Invitation Queue and receive one in a few days.

If I want to submit my work to the Chromatic Vision Archive, how do I go about it?
It's simple. Either as you're signing up for Chromatic Vision or any time during, make a note that you give permission to submit your work to the archive. When you post your work for the challenge, the mods will use that to upload to the archive.

What information do I need to provide?
Because the archive is at AO3, we must follow their guidelines for posting:

Rating - Not Rated, General Audiences, Teen And Up Audiences, Mature, Explicit

Archive Warnings - Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings, No Archive Warnings Apply, Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non Con, Underage

Fandom(s) - self-explanatory

Category - F/F, F/M, Gen, M/M, Multi, Other

Pairings - self-explanatory

Additional Tags (optional) - For this, if your work is icons, fanart, etc, we'll list that as a Tag. If you list any kinks, we'll list those too. We'll follow your headers for what to put down as tags.

What about feedback?
If you do not have an AO3 account, the mod in charge of the archive will email you the feedback you receive from the archive, as well as the hit counter. You will not miss feedback from the archive, and this way you can respond to said feedback if you choose to.

What if I don't like/approve/agree with AO3 on principle?
Like it has been mentioned before, the Chromatic Vision archive is purely optional and opt-in. You can still participate in Chromatic Vision without needing to also have said work at the archive.

If you have any questions concerning the archive, please comment below. However, this is not the place to discuss issues concerning the OTW or AO3. Comments along that nature will be frozen or screened or deleted or banned. This is not the time or place for that, and if you do have such concerns, direct them to the people in charge of those organizations.

If we have an AO3 account (I have one and crosspost my fic to it anyway), can we just submit it to the archive ourselves?
