As Bunny left the rpg I will take over the doctor until we can find someone new to play him. I've played the doctor before and already have a journal, so I really don't mind. Love the doctor anyway. :-)

If anyone wants to plot something with the doctor or just meet him somewhere, let me know. He's ready to have some fun. *g*

I thought something like this must have happened, as here I'm online and get a notification that oncoming-storm responded to my ij.

BTW, I got your email, I'm just lagging with correspondence but I will answer it! If I wasn't rping Jack I'd find some interest in rping the Doctor since I'm watching season 3 more closely than I did when it was on tv. Not to mention nothing is cut out of the shows on the dvds.

	Yeah, thought I'd jump right in so we can finish that post. :-O They cut stuff out of Dr Who episodes on TV in America? I didn't notice any differences from the british TV episodes to the season 1 DVD episodes available in Germany. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	They cut stuff out of Dr Who episodes on TV in America? Yep, Sci-Fi cuts stuff out of episodes. I download the British episodes off the 'net, and they are never the same. Sci-Fi even cuts out things when they show old episodes of SG-1 and SGA so they can get more commercial time in. >.< Anyway, Rodney would love to meet the Doctor! :-) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

That really sucks! On german TV they sometimes do the same with older movies. I remember watching the same movies about 10-15 years ago and they showed the whole thing. An now they cut out sooo much. The movie hardly makes sense anymore. Like in fighting scenes for example. One guy has the upper hand and the other is on the floor. And suddenly the other one has won the fight. Can't they at least leave a little bit of development so it makes sense???
Well, I hardly watch german TV anymore now.

The doctor wants to meet Rodney, too. But he wants to point out that he is smarter right away. :-))

	They cut movies here, too. I have the movie Twister on DVD and watched it on cable last weekend, and they cut the heck out of it. Took out a lot of the good parts. Rodney would like to point out no one is smarter than him. ;-) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Hey, Betty...where in Germany do you live, out of curiosity? I lived in Ramstein for two years when I was a kid (early 80s). :) But yeah, the cutting and hacking of series/movies really sucks over here. (Reply to this) (Parent)

I don't think they cut TV series in Germany. But I rarely watch any in german, except when I try to get my mom into a show.

Even if they don't cut the shows, they change the voices... So hate that. If they could at least try and find similar voices. But I guess it's not that easy. And people like my mom, who can't speak english need the translation.
I still wish we had BBC here. But luckily we have the internet. :-)

Do you think Jack and Ruby should go over to the Doctor's offices? Would Martha be there? He's thinking he has to go all over looking for people or simply go by himself with Ruby? But that wouldn't get anyone else involved so what's the plan? Loz and/or Kara could arrive about now?

	I read somewhere the difference from TOS BSG to the current one was 10 minutes per episode and that really affected their ability to get things into the episodes they in the current series. (Reply to this) (Parent)
