Hiya, everyone.

I'm Lara - new to the game, but not new RPing. Was introduced to the game by Liz and thought I'd jump on in!

I'm playing Carson Beckett and Teyla Emmagan from Stargate Atlantis.

Carson (played on this journal, natch) is a medical doctor who is also very good at research, so of course, he'll be ready to jump in and help out when people need it. Although he might have to be prodded to actually go out places - he's usually not too keen on leaving the safety of the hospital, especially in a new and uncertain situation, but he'll do it when he's needed.

Teyla (played on

teylaofathos) is the former leader of her people (the Athosians) and has been brought here with her ten-month old son Torren. She has no idea why a baby would have been pulled into a situation like this, so that's going to make her a bit weary at first. She's very good at stick fighting and meditation and will be glad to teach it to those who wish to learn. With the safety of her son involved, she'll be willing to help anyway she can.

Also, she'll want to know why Michael is there, considering she killed him.

Not sure what else, but am always open to ideas. Give me a shout - I've posted my contact info. I will probably pick up other characters after I get settled.

	Hi Lara I'm Ani playing Lee Adama from Battlestar Galactica. As I told Liz I'm happy to see more SGA characters because I'm watching it for the first time right now (I'm halfway through mid-S3 ep Echoes). I might find it interesting for Lee to learn some stick fighting at some point. He is already an accomplished knife fighter as well as, of course, fighter pilot. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Hi, Ani! I'm an avid watcher of BSG, so it'll be a lot of fun to interact with Lee! I'd love to have Teyla teach him stick fighting, most definitely. It'll be great to see how he translates what he knows about fighting with knives to a different form. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hi Lara and welcome to the game!

I'm really glad you joined and I love that we have more SGA characters now. John is very happy, too. :-))

If you want to plot something, some of my characters are still free for day 4. John is in the big kidnapping thread and Jacob & Rachel are out roaming the forrest as animals. Martha is in the infirmary with Jennifer.
Well, I guess only Faith and Ruby are still free during the morning, as Henry is kind of dead during the day (he's a vampire).
If you want Faith could greet Teyla before she will hear about the kidnapping and go off to the rescue mission.

Hi, Betty. Thanks for the welcome.

I definitely would like to have Teyla in on the rescue. The kidnapping will probably be too soon, but once she finds out her friend and others have been taken, she'll want to help get them back (after all, John did the same for her). So I would imagine that once Teyla and Ronon find out what's going on, they'll join in. Might work with Faith filling them in and then them all heading out together.

The full plan for Ronon and Teyla joining the rescue thread is this - Once Jennifer gets Carson and Rodney to trust her, she'll offer to show them to their rooms. While going there, they will bump into Teyla, Ronon and Faith (?). They can be there when word comes about the kidnapping. Jennifer or Carson can take the baby so Teyla and Ronon can go off to help.

Also, I think I'm going to clone one of my characters (along with the other characters people volunteered)) but I need to speak to you about something first. I'll e-mail you tonight or tomorrow about it. :-)

	Sounds good to me. Faith is ready to meet Ronon & Teyla. :-) They could then bump into Sam (& maybe Ruby) who tells them about the kidnapping. Then the rescuers can go off to get weapons and run into more volunteers for the rescue. Ok, I'm curious to hear your ideas for Michael. I'll post John in our thread tomorrow. Need to go to bed now. 	I'm having fun with all my charries and the FF guys, aka the Silver Haired Men or SHM, are different from everyone else in many ways. I'm playing the three of them because they're aspects of one character originally, coming from Sephiroth. I'm not really familiar with the SG pups but that doesn't make rp any less fun. I don't remember if I saw charries somewhere else or if I started using it on my own but I probably got it from someone else years ago. I just use it so I don't type characters all the time, that's all. :) For the same reason I also use pups sometimes. In case you haven't figured that one out, I was told that comes from puppets.

Ask any questions you like. I originally came in from forum-style rps and I generally prefer the LJ-type.
