Ruby appeared next to the living quarters of the good side of town. She felt glad that she had managed to make it into this part of town again. She needed to tell someone what she saw. She was about to go to the restaurant to eat something when she saw some people from her side of town drag prisoners down to the basement, where they had holding cells and torture rooms. She had seen some of the prisoners before. Yazoo and Kadaj were among them and the man that had been with Dean two days ago. She didn't doubt that the prisoners were all good people and she didn't even want to think about what would be done to them. She knew what it was like to be tortured, there was hardly anything else but torture in hell. And she had spent centuries in hell. She really didn't want to see anyone else get tortured. But attempting to save these people alone probably would be really stupid. She needed help.

Jack's day had already been rather busy. Not only did he go to the firing range for practise with his pistol but he had checked the military supplies. His obvious reason was to get more ammunition and possibly weapons, though there were other ideas in his mind and all of them business-like. One was to obtain communication headsets and yes, they were available. He carried a bagful of them when he left the research building.

Slipping sunglasses on, Jack took a moment to look up at the bright sky and inhale the clean air. It definitely smelled nothing like Cardiff, nor anyplace else he'd been to either. He momentarily wished he could see the Pteranodon they kept as a pet at Torchwood winging by, even though Myfanwy was a nocturnal creature and he wouldn't see the creature at this time of day.

Jack forgot this trace of homesickness when he noticed a blonde woman near the living quarters. He walked toward her quickly, unsnapping the flap of his holster as he went. She seemed lost or worried or both. Perhaps there was another attack or creature around.

"Hi. Did you just get here?" he wondered, unable to prevent himself from approving her good looks with a smile and a nod, but charm had never kept Captain Jack from attending to business if he had to.

Ruby turned towards the man that came closer. She had never seen him before. She sighed. She had hoped to find Dean. He at least knew her. But on the other hand that might have been a problem. He knew she was a demon and might have thought this was a trap. Maybe talking to a stranger would be better.

"No, I've been here for a while", Ruby answered, guessing that he was asking if she just arrived and not if she just got to this side of town. He had no way of knowing that she was supposed to be on the evil side, right?

"Listen, there's something I have to tell you", she then said, sounding urgent. "Some people from this side of town have been taken prisoner. They took them down to the dungeon where the holding cells and the torture rooms are."

The woman sounded like she was genuine. More than that, she felt genuinely concerned and it was curious though not improbable, what he sensed while staring at her closely. Jack's abilities, natural and cultivated, told him much and he remembered a similar situation from his diversified past.

"Let me see if I have this right: you know about this because you're from the other side? Do you know how many and who they are?"

He didn't stand too close but neither did he seem as if he was wary. After all, he couldn't be killed and he didn't think this female (whatever she might be) would cause pain, though he could handle pain if he had to. Jack glanced at the bag in his hand, thinking they should have already been using the ear pieces; an emergency occurred before he could instigate his plan.

Buffy was taking a walk when she saw a man and a women standing together and talking. The man seemed a bit familiar but the women she'd never seen before. As she got closer to them she started to make out what they were saying, not that she was trying to ease drop but she couldn't help but hear the women say something about the other side having prisoners.

Slowly she apoarched them. "Hey." She gave them a sheppish way. "I'm Buffy. Sorry if I'm interrupting something but just thought I'd say hey as we all have to fight together some day." She placed a fake smile upon her face as she looked to the two of them.

Ruby frowned slightly when the man asked her if she was from the other side. Of course she had to run into a smart one. But there probably were no dump people here.

"Consider me your spy", she said and gave him a small smile. She really hoped he would believe her.

"I think there were 5 prisoners. Kadaj and Yazoo are among them. The others I don't know. Two men. At least one of them looked like he was military. He was with Dean Winchester and a woman 2 days ago, but I don't know his name. Noone introduced us properly", she said.

"I also saw a woman. Dark hair, maybe this long", she said and gestured a bit below her own shoulder.

Before Ruby could say anything else a young woman arrived. She seemed nice enough. Maybe she was interested in helping? They'd need all the help they could get.

"I'm Ruby and I was just telling..." She didn't even know his name. "...him that I saw that some people have been taken prisoner by the other side", she said as she gestured at Jack.
