Day: Day Four
Time of day: Late morning
Location: A very strange room in a very strange building in a very strange place
Rating: PG-13
Status: Incomplete

Teyla stood at the door of the hut where she was staying, staring out as her people began their nightly rituals - saying goodnight to their neighbors and extinguishing the lights outside their doors. One by one, each of the huts went dark, followed lastly, finally, by Kanaan's. And as she stood there watching, she couldn't help but think that on Atlantis, her friends would still be awake, possibly gathered together somewhere, talking or playing a game. She thought about how she would be there with them, laughing and enjoying her time with them as she rocked Torren in her arms.

It made her realize that while she had loved Kanaan, she had been more clinging to a part of her past that she could never go back to. She no longer belonged here. Her place was there.

Reaching out, she extinguished the torch outside the hut's door before going inside. Torren was babbling to himself in the borrowed crib, and as she did every night, she picked him up and walked over to the bed. Resting herself against the headboard, she cuddled her son close and started singing. Torren looked up at her, reaching his tiny hand to her face. Teyla smiled and caught his hand with hers, placing a kiss against it before continuing her song. Soon, his eyelids started to drop until he finally fell asleep.

Smiling, Teyla kissed his forehead. "Sleep well, my son," she whispered as she did every night before resting her head back against the wall behind her, her own eyes closing as well.

She wasn't sure how long she was asleep when she suddenly woke with a start. Blinking, she realized she was still holding Torren in her arms, so she got up to put him in his crib. As she did, she suddenly noticed that it was Torren's crib, not the borrowed one. And her curtains were on the window.

But this was not her room in Atlantis.

Picking Torren back up, she cradled him tightly against her as she looked around. Quickly, she hurried over to the door and opened it, looking out. This was definitely not Atlantis. In fact, it didn't look like anything she'd ever seen in the Pegasus Galaxy.

What was going on?

Ronon twirled his blaster between his fingers and sighed. He had no idea what Woosley was talking about, and he was getting bored. It was bad enough Woosley had somehow talked him into going on an expedition with a bunch of scientists. Of course Ronon could have said no, but it was either this or watch Rodney and Jennifer do their weird mating dance. The thought of McKay mating made his stomach turn a little.

When the meeting was finally over, Ronon shoved his blaster into its holster before heading down to the Gate room. "Do something stupid, and I'm not saving you," he muttered to the scientists.

"Mister Woosley said you're supposed to be nice to us," one of them pointed out.

Ronon raised his eyebrows and looked up at where Woosley was standing. Snorting, he turned toward the Gate and watched the event horizon appeared. "Come on," he said as he ushered the scientists through before stepping through the Gate himself.

However, when he got to the other side no one was there. Pulling out his blaster, Ronon looked around. He noticed a large building that hadn't there when Woosley sent the mouth through earlier. With a furrowed brow, Ronon ran up to the building and inside. It looked like the hotel Sheppard and him had stayed in when McKay and sister had been kidnapped.

Ronon moved further into the building, feeling like he was supposed to find something there. He rounded a corner and stopped when he saw Teyla with Torren. "Teyla!" he said, hurrying over to her. "What is this place? What's going on?"

With Torren in her arms, Teyla started moving carefully down the corridor, reaching down to her waist before cursing softly under her breath. She was wearing the top and trousers she had changed into for bed, so of course, she didn't have any weapons on her.

Was this another Wraith facility? Had they been attached and kidnapped because of what she had done to Michael? Worse...had they been taken by the Asurans?

Just as she was about to reach a corner, she saw a shadow and pulled back just as a figure came around. Her eyes widened when she saw who it was.

"Ronon!"

Part of her was relieved to see her friend, but another part of her was still weary. "I...I don't know. I woke up in one of the rooms back there and..." She looked at him. "Is it really you? How did you end up here?"

Ronon put his gun away and went over to Teyla and Torren. When she asked her question, he shook his head. "Don't know," he said. "I went through the Gate and ended up here." He reached up and rubbed the back of his neck, and looked around. "Do think this is the same thing that happened to Sheppard last year? Think McKay screwed something up?"

He dropped his hands to his sides and let out a weary sigh. He was a warrior, and not a scientist. Ronon didn't know the first thing about what was going on. However, he knew something wasn't right. People just didn't go through the Gate and end up somewhere different. And he was pretty sure Chuck didn't dial the Gate address wrong.

"The team I came through with is gone. I was the only one there after the Gate closed," he said. He looked back at Teyla and frowned. "You don't think Michael rigged the Gate to do this, do you? I mean...before he died." He shifted uncomfortbly, not knowing if Teyla wanted to talk about Michael or not. "Gotta say this place reminds me a lot of the hotel John and I stayed in on Earth."

Teyla frowned as Ronon explained what had happened. He had gone through the Gate and ended up there? She shifted Torren up against her shoulder as she shook her head. The mention of Michael still sent a shudder up her spine even though she had watched him fall to his death.

Even though she had killed him.

"I...I don't think so because I was nowhere near the Gate," she told him. "The last thing I remember was falling asleep with Torren in my arms on New Athos. I awoke in the same position."

At that, she frowned and looked around. The building did indeed look like the ones she remembered seeing on Earth. Or at least the Earth she was made to believe she was on.

"This is very, very strange," she said. "The thing is...when I woke up, the room I was in had my belongings from Atlantis. Torren's crib...my curtains...my quilt...everything."

Ronon rubbed the back of his neck. He wished he had an answer for what was going on, but he didn't. This was more up McKay's alley, not his. Looking around, he let out a sigh before looking at Teyla and Torren again. "I'm not sure what's going on. This is really strange," he said.

As Teyla told him what she found in her room, he furrowed his brow. There was no way anyone could have gotten into the city, and taken all of Teyla's things. None of this made sense. However, he suddenly remembered something and dropped his hand to his side. "Do you think this is like what happened to us on that version of the Daedalus? Maybe this is anothe reality or whatever McKay called it," he said.

None of this was really sitting well with him. "There are more buildings outside. Maybe we should go see if we can find anyone else," he said before he nodded at Torren. "I'll take him if you need to grab any weapons from your room."

Teyla raised her eyebrows at Ronon's suggestion. "I don't know. When that happened, we were in the same place," she said. "This..." She waved her around vaguely. "This definitely doesn't seem like any place in the Pegasus Galaxy. But I don't think we can rule it out."

She wanted to know what was going, and she wanted to get home. So when Ronon mentioned them going out to see what was going on, she nodded. "That would be a good idea," she agreed before passing Torren over to him. "I should probably also change."

Waving for him to follow her, she made her way back to the room she had awoke in. While Ronon waited, she opened the chest where she kept her clothes, not surprised to find them there. She quickly changed into a pair of trousers and a top before grabbing her dagger and a pistol.

"All right," she said, walking out of the room and taking Torren back into her arms. "Let's go."

Ronon nodded his head, knowing Teyla was right. He just wanted to know what was going on. "True. This looks more like Earth," he said. Not that he was an expert on Earth. Going there three times didn't make one an expert. Ronon was just glad Teyla agreed to his idea. They weren't figure out what was going on if they stayed inside.

Taking Torren from her arms, Ronon smiled when the baby grabbed for chain around his neck. He followed Teyla into her room, and turned around so Teyla could dress. "We have to give her privacy," he told Torren when the little boy softly whined.

Once Teyla was finished, Ronon carefully handed the baby back to her. He motioned for them to follow him out of the room, and down the long hallway. Soon they were walking through the front door and outside. Ronon looked around and then at Teyla. "Which way do you think we should go?" he asked. There really wasn't anything to track since he didn't know where they were.

Faith was on her way back from the restaurant, where she had a late breakfast. She was wondering what to do next. Maybe she'd hea dto the gym and see if anyone else was there. If not she could work out alone for a bit and then go to the beach or the pool to relax. The pool had turned out to be a good idea yesterday, she thought as a grin appeared on her lips when she remembered meeting Dean there.

As Faith got closer to the entrance of the living quarters she saw two people coming out. No, not two people, three. It wasn't the weapons the man had with him that surprised her. Almost everyone here was armed. It was the baby in the womans arms. A baby? What the hell was a baby doing here. They were supposed to be here to fight in a war. Why would whoever brought them here bring a baby? The situation was getting more and more strange with each day.

"Hi", she said as she walked towards the two. They had to be new. She would remember having seen a baby around before. "Just arrived?", she asked. They looked a little lost.

As Teyla walked out of the building with Ronon, she frowned and looked around. It almost looked like they were in the downtown of an Earth city like the one she had visited with John. Or thought she had visited with John. Had they actually ended up on Earth?

Just then, she noticed someone walking toward them and stopped, shifting Torren closer against her shoulder and protectively cupping his head with her hand. As the person got closer, she saw that she looked to be a human female. Younger than Jennifer Keller, most certainly.

When she joined them and asked if they had just arrived, Teyla felt her mouth drop open as she looked over at Ronon again. "Just arrived?" she asked, pulling back slightly and turning away to shield Torren. "I'm sorry, but where exactly are we? What's going on, and why are we here?"

Ronon looked around, wondering which why they should go. In the distance he saw what looked like a sign that said 'hospital'. He was about to suggest they try their first. There had to be someone there to help them. However, before he could make his suggestion, a woman was walking toward them.

As she neared, Ronon found himself taking a defensive stance. He wasn't one to easily trust people he didn't know. He placed his hand on his weapon and furrowed his brow when she asked her question. What the hell was she? The welcoming committee?

"Yeah...what she said," Ronon said as he nodded toward Teyla. "And you best be honest with us."

Faith noticed the defensive stance of the woman and the slight hostility of the man. She slightly frowned at the mans last words. They sounded a little like a threat. Part of her wanted to ask him what he'd do if she wouldn't be honest. But she had learned to control her temper and she could also understand why they acted like they did. It was bad enough to be kidnapped and brought here. It however had to be worse if a baby was involved.

"Sorry, but I can't tell you where we are. We still haven't really figured that out. But I've been brought here the same way you did. Everyone here just suddenly appeared with no idea where we are or why we are here", she started to explain.

"Through welcoming letters in our rooms and a little research we found out that we were brought here to fight in the final war between good and evil." She then glanced to the tall man. "And no, I'm not lying. It's the truth, or at least what we've been told." She then glanced at the woman and the baby again.

"I have no idea why he should be brought here, though", she said and gestured at the baby. It was a boy, wasn't it?

When the girl said that she couldn't tell them where they were, Teyla looked over at Ronon. This was not good. If they didn't know where they were, how were they going to get home to Atlantis? And who was going around kidnapping people and bringing them here.

Wherever here was.

When the girl started to explain that they had been brought to fight a war, Teyla felt fear crawl up her back. She didn't mind fighting - she had been taught well, and she had been fighting for Atlantis for years. But she had no idea who this was for, and for Torren to be here if this was true...

"I don't know why he's been brought here either," Teyla said. "I was holding him when I fell asleep, but..." She looked back at Ronon. "I do now like this at all."

None of this was sitting well with Ronon. He didn't mind fighting against bad, but he wanted to do it on his own terms. "Can't wait to meet whoever brought us here," he growled. "Don't care much for being forced to do things." Especially since he'd been a Runner for five years.

"I don't like it either," Ronon said before he looked at the girl again. "You got a name? I'm Ronon and that's Teyla. The little one is Torren. Guess that would explain why Teyla and I arrived from different points in our timeline. I mean...if we were just brought here on a whim." He wondered if they should tell her they were from Atlantis. There was a chance some of their friends were there too. However, he didn't get the chance before he noticed three figures walking toward them.

Ronon didn't know if he was imagining things, but he swore two of the figures were Beckett and McKay. Shaking his head, he looked closer before looking at Teyla. "Tell me I'm not dreaming about McKay and you see him and Beckett too," he said as he gestured toward them.

Faith listened to the woman. Maybe the baby was here because she held him when she was brought here?

Then she turned to the man. "Looks like we have something in common already", she said. She really wanted to meet whoever brought them here as well. It wasn't that she minded to be chosen to fight in a very important war, especially as the good side had brought her here. But she still would prefer to get clearer instructions and know what exactly was going on. And a choice whether to fight or leave would be nice, too!

"Faith", she answered.

Then she turned around and glanced at the approaching people. They didn't look familiar. More new arrivals?
