Rough Landing, Captain Character(s):Martha Jones, Faith Lehane, Jack Harkness and Angel (new posting order) Day: Day 2 Time of Day: Night Location: The alley inbetween Rating: pg13 Status: incomplete "DOCTORRRR!!!" he roared into the fury of the maelstrom. He clung in sheer desperation, his fingers at the breaking point, to the TARDIS that tried to buck him off. As his scream faded a roar rattled his eardrums, exploded his senses. He hurtled through the insanely swirling colours of a vortex his mind could barely comprehend. Men weren't meant to be outside while time travelling, not even one whose immortality had ironically come from the TARDIS herself. Tossed, turned violently, gyrated end over end, he tried becoming a second skin to the blue box but a force that shouldn't be there snared him inbetween probabilities. His fingernails scratched at the police box as Captain Jack Harkness was torn from the place he most desired to be.
White exploded all around him and he curled up into a ball landing in... an alleyway? The first thing that occurred to Jack was he stared at a wall only inches from his face. Wherever this was, he arrived at night. Rolling from his side didn't work because of the backpack he'd forgotten he was wearing. He sat up quickly, shrugging it off and setting it on the road in front of him. Concern creased his handsome brow as he felt the outside of it. He didn't notice how his nails were all ragged and torn. The frown lines vanished; nothing seemed to be broken inside. So engrossed was he, so silent was the attack, Jack didn't notice until the muscular, tentacled arm reached from over the wall and grabbed him. He yelled and screamed, struggling to get to his gun but his arms were pinned. First it smashed him against the wall and then slammed him back to the pavement beside his precious backpack, which contained his only possessions.
He never felt the second slam, being knocked unconscious from the first. The captain was completely helpless.
