Rough Landing (tag Rachel)
Day 2
Characters: Tobias, Rachel
Where: Somewhere on the good side of town
Rating: G or PG
Status: Incomplete

Tobias felt himself dropping, falling, and he was confused. He flapped, struggling to right himself, unsure of where he was, when, or even if he was still on Earth. Nothing surprised him anymore in that area. The last thing he could remember was Jake's voice "Ram the blade ship". Was this some kind of afterlife? Had they all died just now? Or since he seemed alone, was it just him?

The area below looked like a town, a town that seemed to pull him toward one end. He scouted, curious, reluctant to touch down until he got an idea of what was what around here. There didn't seem to be a way out, which he already didn't like. The hawk and human parts of him alike didn't like being trapped. He investigated the other side of town, the forboding one that made him feel uneasy, as well as the side pulling him in.

Briefly, he caught sight of what looked like a famliar blue form. (Great, did he come here too? Or is that someone or something else?) he wondered.

Finally, he did touch down, and when he was sure he would not be seen, he morphed to human. He didn't think it was risky, and he could investigate things easier on foot.

Rachel just came out of the shopping mall, a bag full of clothes in hand. She might as well enjoy this place as long as she could and a shopping mall that offered clothes without expecting money in return seemed almost like heaven to her. For a brief moment she started to wonder if she actualy might be in heaven. The last thing she remembered from before arriving here was morphing back to human bcause of the poison and then a blur of polar bear rushing towards her. Thinking about it made her feel a little dizzy. What exactly happened? Was she brought here before the polar bear reached her or had it reached her and she died? She had thought about it a lot in the past 3 weeks she spent here. But no matter how much she thought about it nothing really made sense. This didn't seem like heaven. There shouldn't be wars in heaven!

She then was pulled out of her thoughts when she caught a glimpse of a bird in the distance.It had a red tail, didn't it? Or was it just wishful thinking?

Rachel started running in the direction the bird had flown. And soon enough she did see a familiar form, wearing a morphing outfit.

"Tobias", she called happily and ran towards him. Then she threw herself at him, dropping the shopping bag to the ground, as she wrapped her arms around him.

Tobias only hadn't spotted Rachel from the air because he was disoriented and focused on figuring out where he was and what was going on. He hadn't focused much on individual people. He did notice her though after he demorphed and came out, and he felt his heart race. She called his name and ran toward him, wrapping her arms around him.

Tobias hugged her excitedly, overjoyed to see her alive again. Or were they both dead now?

"I don't know what's going on, if you're alive or I'm dead or what... but this is...I can't believe it!" he said.

Rachel smiled happily. But then she heard his words and pulled back slightly.

"What are you talking about, Tobias?", she asked a little confused and uneasy as well. She had wondered if she died, feared that the polar bear actually got to her. Was it that what happened? Did Tobias mean she died? And if she was dead was he dead now, too? No, they couldn't be dead. She didn't feel dead!

"I don't think we're dead, Tobias. We've just been taken away to fight another war. Probably by the Ellimist", she said.
