A poll!
Now that the summer bustle is over and I think I might have a little doll time to squeeze in, I'm curious about what people like to see here. Of course, I'm going to always post what I most enjoy posting or what I can manage to do between bouts of real life! But, I'd like to know what you like to see when you come here. I have a lofty goal of posting something every weekend, but we'll have to see if that's even possible. ^^;

Thanks!

These were hard to answer because mostly my response is "FLDKLJdklgjdlkhghk YOUR DOLLS! *_____*" to pretty much anything. Very unhelpful! *L*

yes, well, supportive gibberish is okay too! (ahaha, like you would ever go, 'pheh! she's posting that doll again!)

I have seriously neglected the half-sizes in this journal so far! (well, I've neglected almost all of them since I haven't been posting but yeah. No Diderot and Bellamy! I have been remiss to say the least.

and hardly any Nick, and no Zuzu at all! Nevermind that Zuzu is the cutest little doll-bean ever.

argh, this poll was hard! ;o; i love everyone, but i picked a few of my favorites, who make me go pitter pat when they are posted. :)

also: i enjoy the composition very much, the props! the scripts! but scenery has always totally stood out for me, it's always so rich and to scale. yum!

I wonder, will you be torn on the doll-goddess front, when Tzeitel comes along at last? :D

Alas, I love to do the perfect little dolls sets so much, and now really there is nowhere to do them! ;_; and nowhere to set them up and leave them, so most of the doll set things are packed away. Diderot's bed is all dissasembled and I'd have to glue it back together, but I miss his little Rectory set sometimes!

ahaha put if it was on the dresser now, there wouldn't be room for the dolls! Especially now with invasion of the leggy giant people.

b-but, don't say that! BLASPHEMY ;_; alda is going to come into my room and stare me to death for not giving her that status. i'm like, hey, stringy, you're family.

man those leggy little batards. they think they can go WHEREVER THEY WANT.

I'm so new to actually lurking about in any doll forum/community etc ~ and in particular photographing and playing with BJDs myself that I just want to take it all in and the images here have so much in them to choose from that I just can't.

I have to say though, that the last story had me coveting 1/4 and 1/3 sized books ...

hello, hello! ^_^ Thanks so much for responding to the poll and commenting! There aren't a lot of readers on this journal since I've moved around so much, but some of them I don't even know! So it's nice to meet new people. (And new dolls! Your cat siblings are so sweet!)

I get a lot of the small books from the little mini gift books that they sell in bookstores, that's where the Tarot book is from. And there's also at borders a tiny paperchase brand journal that looks like a big fancy book for a BJD. The gold ones are lined and the red ones are unlined. I think in that stack are some other books that I've just happened on in craft stores and antique malls and things. I'm a little prop-crazy, for the dolls. They sit on a big antique dresser and all the drawers are full of props and clothes.

*^__^* It is rather quiet in IJ ~ I think it's the most stubborn lot that has decided to set up house here after ....well whatever it was that had us flee LJ . I know there's a LOT of dolltalk on LJ but I refuse to return.

I only found this journal recently ~ every once and a while I check who has bjds as an interest and start poinking for signs of life ...and *yay* there is some :)

My journal though is a personal journal of everything that interests me so bjds get mixed in with everything else `~ hence I haven't willynilly run around friending people just because they list dolls as an interest.

Thank-you about the kittens ~ I am in love with them and have sort of thrown myself into bjds since the summer and the snowball is just picking up speed I'm afraid. I think props are a large part of the fun.

While I am slowly trolling through posts here, I have to say that I am green with envy at everything ~ but in a good way ~ in that it proves that there is so much fun to be had with them if one puts their thinking cap on.

I went poking around ebay for books and happily scored a bunch of those mini books you speak of (most of them cat art related which made me grin like crazy) and from this point on I'm going to be keeping a sharp eye out in book stores for the small volumes. Thank you for the tips on finding them !!!

We actually left LJ before the big debacle, because it was blocked on various work filters, and went to GJ. Which went down the tubes a few months later! So there were two journal changes in the space of like, a year or so, and I still haven't gotten my doll momentum back even though this journal is syndicated over on LJ. But we (my partner and I) no longer make use of our LJs at all, since it's gone so downhill.

ahah, when we were first buying our dolls, we started the year out with none and ended it with four. O_O and the rest trickled after! The trickle has slowed in the last little bit, though it's been a good doll summer for us, and we got Nik and Zuzu.

I always love turning up unexpected doll items! Like those MSD sized sweaters, and we also live near the Boyd's Bears Factory so we've found some really cute furniture and things there.

Man! Now I want to do a good string of stories and things, but I have to find the time to sew everything and get all the sets together! ;p Our old apartment had a porch, so it was good for outdoor sets in semi-private, but not so much at our new place.

My "other" means that I wouldn't mind owning a doll, but it's not such an interest that I would really go for it and start saving money. They're beautiful and I enjoy your stories and photos a lot.
