[pics] A sharp-dressed hound

I have been meaning, for the past several weeks, to do a solo gallery shoot for Janus. He's been looking extra dapper in his suit (now that he has a proper tie) and I love to show him off. Especially now that hounds (and all dollshe sculpts) have become rare creatures; when we got Janus it seemed like hounds were as common as peanuts. Well, expensive peanuts. We got Janus second-hand. He had been ordered by his first owner with the works from Tensiya, fully sanded and faceuped, but he arrived to us with not much to his name and we spent a long time trying to gather up the parts of his standard dress that had not been sold with him (the chain pants, the white lace shirt, the necklace).

His arrival date to us was October 5, 2005. It was two years before I got the nerve to redo his faceup. He's always been priceless to us, but now, he really is. We're so lucky to have this doll: the mysterious, quiet, content Uncle Drosselmeyer of our little resin group.

	Ahahahaha! I suppose I'm not very subtle, huh? :D I always thought he and Ilium looked too much like Muraki and Hisoka to be strictly comfortable. Maybe I should make them cosplay! :D (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I'm so glad he can wear that suit now. When it only had the neck scarf, it just wasn't quite right. It's one of his oldest outfits and he's finally got it down pat. although it's almost time to bring out his jeans and sweater and coat. ^_^ And the red and white scarf. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	LOL Resin is just so contagious! and nothing is as cute as a tiny banji in a hound hand, you know! (Janus was worried when we got a DoI boy, but, he is still the tallest doll, which makes him happy, I think!) (Reply to this) (Parent)

I'm really sorry that of all the shots, the shucking out of the jacket one came out the blurriest! Ideally, he needs some sleeve-garters. mmm.

Really, though, I was just super pleased that he was so willing to stand up! Those shoes are good for him. ^_^ and, I only jsut used some spare hooks I had to replace the elastics holding his hands on. :3

	I'm glad he looks, well, real! Sets for him are always a challenge because we have so little space, and so few props his size. Someday I will make a shoot of him actually typing on that awesome clicky moving typewriter. But first we have to have a desk he can use (and not one of the CD shelves turned around and covered with some marble coasters. ^^;) (Reply to this) (Parent)
