[gallery] Sunset Lake

I had a stressful day today, so I came home and did something scary: I drilled earring holes in Issachar's ears. It's really only the start of the work he needs (his neck needs sanding so his head fits better, he needs new stringing, hooks, and kips disks, not to mention some faceup work and tattoos) but it's something I could do with quick results. I was really pleased with how it came out. Then I took him out to get some pictures while I still had some light. (There's twelve pics total; I'm too tired to pick and choose over different angles the way I usually do.)

Thank you! I love how expressive he can be. Though most of the time he just looks concerned, sometimes I catch him looking like he's seriously up to no good. I can't wait to get him strung better so he doesn't flail all over the place. For a cheapie doll he's beautifully sculpted, but it's like he's strung with dental floss.

(I bought him to be my experiment doll, to get the hang of tattoos and pierced ears and all that jazz, but it's taken me almost two years to work up the nerve. :p Even an inexpensive doll is still a doll, I guess.)

so slim and handsome that every garment we own falls off of his scrawny butt! Once I get my sewing obligations out of the way, I'm making him some clothes that atually fit!

LOL yeah, he stole his wig back. The other one was just too big. Zuzu's wearing the blue one with the crazy ponytail.

(So I posted some of these pics on DoA, and not on single comment, man. The anti-Chinese-doll snobbery is just astounding.)

	I'm really really pleased with how they came out. I had to do them high because the resin closer to his lobe is thicker, but then I glued on studs on the lower part for a nice Legend of Zelda look. ^_^ Now I need time to sew him clothes. (Reply to this) (Parent)
