Grace found the boy reading what seemed at a glance to be a fairly elementary book. She didn't wish to startle him as she approached, and it seemed Elsa had given her presence away fairly quickly as she perked up. Her hands were clasped in front of her, and she smiled from the dog to the young man.
"Please pardon the interruption. My name is Grace, another of Lord Carrick's slaves, and I'd not had the fortune to meet you yet," she began, the pleasantries genuine though he might find her thoughts wary. It wasn't her intent to be unpleasant, hence the kindness, but Grace was woman very concerned about that which she did not know.
