WHO: Hermes and Carrick WHERE: Carrick's estate WHEN: Week 9. Monday night WHY: Hermes gets introduced to his new home WARNING: TBA
It hadn't been a surprise at all to Hermes when not long after meeting Carrick, he found himself bought before he even had to strut across the auction floor. Either the vampire had used the information he provided or he'd decided that gaining possession of someone capable enough to obtain such knowledge and not afraid to use it was the final straw in his desire to buy the slave.
Regardless, he was delivered to Carrick's estate Monday morning, seen to by some of the house staff, and escorted to his room to prepare himself. He'd signed himself over to the man who seemed to run the tightest of ships, something that was both similar and vastly different to the last place he'd lived. During his initial downtime, he sat to bond with a very friendly dog who loved belly rubs and ear scratches and face licks. The dog seemed completely unlike Carrick, and content to follow him around his room even after he had to make himself ready. The shower was amazing. Scrubbing the filth of the holding pens off of him felt better than he imagined it would like the soap and hot water could cleanse him of not only the literal dirt but the terrified, depressed and violent thoughts he'd been battered with during his time there. The opportunity to go back to his regular grooming habits was blissful as well. When he was smooth and clean and dried off enough to moisturize, he went through the few items of clothing his Master provided for him.
Dressed in loose, comfortable trousers that were nearly sheer in the right light, and a deep v-neck shirt that hugged his hard earned muscles (without either underwear or shoes, because he knew his purpose here and generally wearing more layers than he had to in order to be decent got him in trouble,) the slave knelt at the foot of his bed. The door remained open even while he waited for sunset, and the big fuzzy dog whose name he didn't know seemed to decide that her place was flopped dramatically next to him no matter that he wasn't paying her any attention. She could stay there for all he cared. Hermes liked her presence and it seemed the best thing to make it as obvious as possible that he was doing his best to adapt to a new household and that he had nothing to hide from his Master.
