Who: Ambrose and Buffy Where: Ambrose's home When: Week 9, Monday afternoon Why: Ambrose is going to let her see his study. Warning: None at the moment, will update as needed!
Mornings were pretty much a routine at that point for Buffy. She'd rise early, usually unable to get a whole lot of sleep anyhow, and set to work on her exercises. Then she'd shower and make some food. Ambrose was usually up and about somewhere near the end of that, so there wasn't much more time to spend alone. It didn't much bother her, really. She'd been used to people being around from her time in the camps, and she'd begun to develop a kind of aversion to being alone. Which was kind of odd considering being the Slayer kind of meant dealing with a certain degree of loneliness from time to time. You always felt a little bit alone, even if you were surrounded by people.
It felt like things were getting better between them since her epic failure going off to confront Lucius a few weeks ago, but Buffy was still worried that she'd done something that would always haunt their relationship, even though he'd said that he forgave her. She was worried that it was impossible to truly balance her duty as the Slayer and the life she wanted to have with Ambrose. It was like being pulled in two different directions, and she wasn't sure she'd ever truly know the right path. Destiny was a difficult pill to swallow, but she knew that she loved Ambrose. And he loved her, the real her and not the Chosen One. Things would have to work out somehow, and she was determined not to test his trust in her again.
She was looking out the window just sort of watching the outside world idly as she waited for her master to come upstairs.
