Evie was about to elaborate to Buffy on the events on Friday when she saw Ambrose get up, seemingly for no reason. He didn't look happy either. She thought that it was maybe something she said when the knock came, causing her entire body to tense. Anyone could have been at the door, but she just knew it was Lucius. She wanted to beg the vampire not to open the door but knew that the witch could just walk in if he wanted to. He didn't need an invitation.
"I'm sorry," Evie said regretfully, turning to the blonde next to her. "I thought he would be gone longer, that I'd be home before he got back." As much as she tried to hide it or tried to tell herself that she hadn't been forbidden to leave, she was a little fearful. Not only of what he would probably do to her, but the trouble he would cause the other pair. When ever he was around the couple, misery seemed to be left in his wake.
