Buffy hadn't expected to hear Evie's voice coming from the doorway. She'd followed Ambrose to the door, ready to assume the proper 'kneeling' position if it happened to be a master. She'd mostly not been bothered by the idea either, seeing as how she could probably use it to further drive him crazy.
Those thoughts, however, were swiftly set to the side when she noticed that their visitor was Evie, sans Lucius, and she seemed to be pretty worked up.
"Evie?" Buffy asked, clearly worried for obvious reasons. "Is everything okay?" She peered around Ambrose and the girl, looking for signs that Lucius had followed her. "He didn't follow you, did he?" Because he was good at that, even if she didn't mention it. You always thought you could sneak up on/away from him, but he always knew. That thought alone made her concerned for the other girl, even if it wasn't panic time yet.
