When Grace heard the handle turn, she knelt appropriately for her master. The day hadn't been long, and she'd been able to occupy much of it simply familiarizing herself with her quarters and adjusting to what would be a new life for her. She bowed her head briefly but looked to smile up at Lord Carrick. She recalled he hadn't required her to avoid eye contact, and it was really all the better. A simple glance here or there could be just as powerful as words if used correctly, and to have another tool at her disposal was always welcomed.
"Yes, my lord," she confirmed, pleased herself that he'd remembered her name. "The quarters are lovely. I couldn't imagine to want for anything else. I hadn't thought to ask if you would have a preference for my manner of dress, and so I thought best not to seek out clothing to change into for the time being."
