"I haven't stopped wearing it because you gave it to me,"the boy countered as he looked up at his master. "That doesn't mean that I needed them." he paused as he tried to think of what to say next. He wanted to make sure that the words came out right, that he didn't make the werewolf upset. "Master, your apology did a lot. It showed that you care about me, that you care what I think and feel even though I'm just a slave. And I am trying. Its not me being wary or scared of you."
He felt a little hurt when Mir stated that he believed they were little more than strangers. He hadn't felt that way about Mir for a while now but apparently he felt different. He didn't say anything in reply, instead moving to the box on the bed.
Lifting up the lid, his eyes widened at the tiny white ball of fur inside. Reaching in he picked the kitten up and held it close to his chest, stroking her head lightly. "She's beautiful." He murmured, staring down at her.
