Emrys was like his own little kitty, he mused, as the boy purred in his arms. "My apology seems to have not done a thing. You are still wary of me, and I hate that. I want you to truly know I am sorry. The only way I can think of doing that is, like what my father did to me, giving gifts. I thought you liked of the gifts. You have not stopped wearing that necklace since I gave it to you." he said, fingering the pendant.
"I wish you had told me about that earlier, but why would you even trust me not to be angry and you or her for that." He sighed. "I have been a horrible master to both of you. I only thought about myself and what I thought was good for us, and did not take into consideration you and Jenn needed. I am trying to change that, but I need for us to talk more, Emrys. Like we use to. Knowing little things like that does not make us anything less than strangers." He said, licking his lips.
"I know it is hard on you to trust me, but I will do everything I can to earn that trust back, that is why I want to give you one last gift." He turned and let him see the cardboard box. "Open it." he smiled.
