Rajani listened attentively, hoping to absorb some warmth, some comfort, some useful instruction out of his answer. She wasn't quite certain if she got any from it, but not for the quality of his reply. While she knew intellectually that the Tiger was a part of her, she still didn't quite believe that she and her Tiger were the same individual soul, not really. It was more like possession, to her mind. What would it mean in regards to who she was, if her Tiger was as much herself as the rest?
"Then perhaps I will strive to be more like you in the weeks ahead," she offered diplomatically. Rajani leaned in to give him a light press of her lips to his cheek, a sober show of compliance and gratitude such as she might provide a client after payment rather than anything flirtatious or arousing.
