WHO: Alcuin and Scott.
WHERE: The Animal Clinic.
WHEN: Week 15, Monday late afternoon(ish.)
WHY: Alcuin continues to fret over Scott's cholesterol levels. Scott, on the other hand, continues to fret over his newfound slave's selflessness.
WARNINGS: Unbearable levels of unresolved sexual tension and possibly sick / injured animals being lovingly cared for.
Alcuin had managed to collect most of the items on the grocery list – thanks in large part to the hefty discount afforded by the mere presence of the fae – by the time he decided it was time to drop by the clinic. His master turned out to be fairly proficient at giving directions because although the streets were winding at times he discovered the town wasn't nearly as difficult to navigate as he had anticipated. He stopped only the once to pick up what looked to be an incredibly unhealthy looking but undoubtedly delicious roast beef sandwich from a vendor in the hope that it might make his master more amenable to a salad later.
So it was with the wrapped sandwich in one hand and the borrowed canvas bag dangling by a strap from his shoulder that he entered the clinic, politely taking a moment to hold the door open for what he assumed to be a concerned animal owner coming to retrieve their charge. He stepped up and smiled brightly at the person behind the counter once the owner had been sent to the back of the clinic and said, “Hello. I happened to be in town today and thought to drop this off for my master, Scott McCall,” Alcuin deposited his lunch on the counter with his cuffed hand, the silver initials a stark contrast to the rich dark leather they were imprinted in.
“Oh! If you'd wait just a moment I could get him for you?” Alcuin shook his head with a kindly chuckle. It wasn't his intention to pester his master while he was at work and although he'd been invited he was sure his master had meant to take him there himself. It was rude to simply interrupt someone while they were working. “Please, don't trouble yourself on my account; I'm sure he is very busy right now...”
