"It's called knowing your opponent," Buffy replied quickly, almost as though she'd prepared this sort of defense if he called her on her clever usage of feminine wiles she didn't know she had until a few months ago. "Or isn't that part of being prepared instead of rushing in headfirst?"
Buffy dodged to the side, getting out of the way of the first punch but sort of putting herself in a position where she had to take the other in some way. She turned so that the blow connected with her shoulder solidly, causing her to wince. It was still a better choice than getting the wind knocked out of her. "Maybe a little bit of both," she answered him, taking the opportunity to try and slide closer, wanting to get beneath his guard enough that her body was just brushing up lightly against his. "But it's mostly about winning." She attempted to twist his arm into a lock behind his back, aiming to pivot with it if she was successful.
