Buffy was happy to see that the kick had landed. Ambrose was, of course, not terribly phased by it and retaliated swiftly enough. Thankfully, she was still composed enough to barely block the punch that he threw in her direction. She winced slightly, feeling the impact. Even sparring casually, a vampire's natural strength was enough to shake her slightly. That was why Giles always said she was better off dodging if she could manage it.
"Clever for a girl who's in need of dictionary," she remarked, maintaining a more defensive stance as she awaited his next move instead of jumping in head first to press a perceived advantage. "Do you mean the kick? Or the fact that I'm not wearing underwear? You know. So you can see and smell how much I want you." She let her voice drop to a soft, throaty whisper, the sort she usually reserved for their more intimate moments in an attempt to see if he'd lower his guard further.
