Entry tags:ally, magic school, tucker

Who: Tucker and Ally
When: Oct 5, late afternoon
Where: Magic School potions classroom
What: Boy's in trouble and talking
Status and Rating: Incomplete/PG most likely but could be PG-13

Tucker tapped on his pencil as he looked up at the clock. He couldn't believe that Leo gave him a three hour detention. Sure he had 'accidentally' used his power on another student but it wasn't like he meant to hurt anyone. In fact he didn't even end up hurting the other student. All it did was knock some things off the wall and that was it. He figured the long ass speech that Leo ended up giving him would be the punishment but no he just had to give Tucker detention on top of that. He moved his eyes over to the professor who had just gotten up. "I'll be back in a little while. Don't leave," he said to Tucker. When the teacher left Tucker looked around the classroom. He was the only student who had detention today. It was just too perfect. Not only did he have to die of boredom but he had to die alone.

He stood up and walked over to a bookshelf with some potion ingredients on it. Just skimming though all the different ingredients he wondered how many potion he could make before the professor came back in. He grabbed a few and walked to where the were a few of potion bowls.

Ally sighed as she walked down the large hallway at Magic School. She had to find Leo, to help her catch up with her classes for the week. Since it was her senior year, mortal school was more pressing than magic school, so she needed to get caught up after, which Ally didn't like very much. Thinking that maybe he was watching detention she walked towards the potions room, it was notorious for detentions, not that she had ever been. She opened the door and peaked her head in.

"Uncle Leo?" she called. But then she noticed Tucker standing by the potions. "Oh, hi." she said. She looked at him quizzically. "Shouldn't you be sitting and not playing around with potions?" she asked.

Tucker looked up as Ally walked though the door. "Leo isn't overseeing detention today," he said opening some of the bottles of the ingredients. "Some middle school professor is." He had seen the professor taking the younger students assignments earlier that day. So he assumed he was and that's what he told Ally. Then he looked down at what he was doing. "You know I should but I don't do boredom well. Plus I've been sitting in that chair for like two hours," he said pointing at where he was sitting.

"Why are you looking for Leo?" he asked turning his body to Ally.

"Oh." Ally said. "Why would a middle school teacher oversee high school detention?" she wondered out loud. She chuckled and shook her head. "You're still the same I see." she said. "And that's the point of detention, a fact you seem to never learn, am I right?" she closed the door behind her and walked over to the desk. "So what'd you do this time?" she asked. The conversation would be more than just a little awkward, though they hadn't ended on too bad of terms.

She shrugged. "I need to catch up on work. Still doing mortal school and magic school, lucky me." she said.

"I don't know. Using as a time to grade papers or something," he shrugged. It wasn't his job to figure out why teacher do what they do. But he figured it was a little weird like Ally did. Should the professor oversee middle school students and not him? Oh well. "Did you want me to be different?" he said running his hand though his hair. "Never mind, sorry." Though he had to admit he hadn't changed that much such they were together. Still the some issues and still causing trouble.

"I let my anger get the best of me," he said pouring some of the ingredients into the bowl. "Used my power on another student. It was an accident."

"I don't envy your workload," he laughed. "I can barely handle magic school work by itself."

Ally ran a hand through her hair. While he hadn't changed, she had, a lot. And she thought it was for the better, maybe it wouldn't hurt if some of it rubbed off on him. She didn't hold a grudge against him for breaking up, they had both been too skittish to be in a relationship, but she knew now that secrets were never a good thing, and that Tucker needed to know that as well.

Ally looked at him skeptically. "And accident, or a fake accident?" she asked him. While they hadn't told each other much, Ally had been with him long enough to know something about his personality.

"Yeah." Ally said. "But it works out of the better most of the time." she said, smiling as she thought of Tyler.

It wasn't that Tucker didn't want to change. Just being at magic school changed him a lot. The person he was before would never have even thought of going out with anyone let alone Ally. Their short relationship was okay, at least he thought so never really being in a dating kind of relationship before her. Still his past just wasn't something he was ready to share with anyone that wasn't his whitelighter or Leo. And both of them kept it too themselves.

"I'm not sure, an accident really," he said tilting his head toward her. "I have issues controlling my power still." He had only gotten his power the night he came here. And has only had a little progress in controlling it. "I think Leo was more angry because I wouldn't apologize to the asshole."

"How is school going anyway?"

Ally walked over to one of the desks and sat on top of it, she couldn't help but feel comfortable at magic school, it had been such a safe haven for her family for years now. She laughed a little, typical Tucker. "And just why didn't you apologize?" she asked. "I'm sure whatever he did to you wasn't all that bad." she said.

Ally rested her head on one of her hands, which rested on her knee. "School is good, still singing my butt off as usual." she chuckled. She looked at the ring on her left hand, wondering if she should bring it up but decided against it. "What about you?" she asked.

Tucker didn't tell anyone about his past but that didn't mean that a few students didn't know about. It was a magic school and the few students with telepathy mostly kept what they heard to themselves. Not this one apparently. "Used his power on me and said something that he has no business saying," he said looking down to the table. The only time he didn't have his normal personality was when anything about his past came up. He would withdraw, sometimes even avoiding talking and eye contact.

"Always was an awesome singer," he stated. Even know he would still listen to her singing though he wasn't aware if she knew or not. "Not much really," he said. "Just doing the school thing basically and still going to those weekly talks with Leo."

"Oh." Ally said. One thing she didn't know about Tucker was his past, she'd shied away from the rumors, not wanting anything to cloud her judgement on the boyfriend she'd had at the time. And he, well he'd been just like her, afraid to open up and afraid to put a guard completely down. She knew it wasn't easy, and that she would probably be the last person he'd want to open up to, so she didn't press, especially when she could feel the anger in him, it took a lot of strength for Ally not to blow up at him, his anger was a full force on Ally. "I'm sorry." she said.

Ally blushed. "Thank you." she said, biting her lip. "I guess when you love something you end up being good at it by default, when you work so hard." she shrugged. Ally nodded her head. "And you are listening to him right?" she asked. Though Ally wasn't close to Tucker anymore, old habits were hard to break. And seeing him in detention-again-made her want to go all motherly on him, because the attraction was gone, she loved Tyler, but she still cared about him.

"It's nothing you need to worry about," he said. He knew that 'oh'. He had gotten enough of them to know that it meant they were reaching uncomfortable conversation. He really started it so it wasn't her fault and she wasn't the only one who had given him the same reaction. He had to change the subject immediately. "How's your sister?" he asked looking at her. He had heard that Parker had woken up but hadn't really went to see her. Not that he thought he really should.

He smiled when he saw her blush. Then the blush reminded him of something. "How's Trevor?" he asked knowing that her boyfriend's name was Tyler. But he was her ex it was expected of him to pretend to forget the current boyfriend's name. Then he made his way over to one of the desk. "There have been no rumors that you two broke up so I assume you're still seeing him?" He was actually rooting for the two of them. He only wanted the best for Ally and he knew he wasn't it. He wasn't good for anyone... yet. "I'm trying to. That's something I guess," he said as he started tapping his pencil.
