Entry tags:halli, marcus, p3

Who: Marcus and OTA that works at P3 or Halliwells
When: Monday - September 30th, 2024-night; after this post
Where: P3
What: an injured Marcus comes looking for help
Status and Rating: In-progress/PG-13

Marcus didn't know where else to teleport to. It wasn't like he was on friendly terms with healers down in the underworld. He knew that whitelighters couldn't heal him. It was common sense that demons couldn't be healed. And after they found out what he was they would probably vanquish him without questions. Although he hoped they wouldn't. He choose to teleport to P3 because it had the best chances of him being found. Where there were powerful witches that could possibly, hopefully help him. Even if it was doing some stitching and letting him be.

He appeared on the floor of P3. It was late in late afternoon so he was sure that Wyatt would be there. If not Wyatt then someone that was helping set up for the night. He looked around but there was no one he could see. At least not from the position of laying on his stomach on the ground. "Wyatt!" he yelled as he tried to pick himself up. "Help please." Hoping that his boss or anyone would be around to do something to stop the bleeding. He was still clutching the ring in his hand, he wasn't about to let that go. At least not in this lifetime.

Halli had been playing with her new powers since they appeared. Well, okay, that wasn't entirely correct. She had spent the better part of the first few days arguing with her twin. For some reason Halli and Wyatt seemed to always be arguing. Although the more recent arguments were absolutely ridiculous. He had given Logan herpes or the clap or something. And just when she thought it couldn't get any weirder, she started feeling unbelievably over-protective. His sudden interest in her purity had been a shock, but her interest in his purity was far more than a shock. And something she couldn't turn off.

So while he was out trying to heal the world, Halli decided to blow off some steam. P3 was always the best place to do that. She had come in to get a beer and just sit, but mom had been bitching about the club earlier. And for some reason Halli just felt helpful since her god powers had come into her. So instead of sitting around, Halli actually made herself useful. It would get mom and Wyatt off her ass at least.

Thankfully she was the only one there tonight. She wasn't too worried about exposure, considering things in this universe were a hell of a lot more lenient than in her universe. (And getting caught didn't get you burnt at the stake here.) But having someone teleport into the middle of the club was not exactly ideal. Halli's hands went up automatically, her initial defense was always to freeze things. But then he started asking for Wyatt. Great.

"Wyatt's busy, who the hell are you?"

It was odd that Marcus hadn't really met Halli before. He knew that she sort of worked here but the only times he ever saw her was when one of the was entering and leaving the club. Figured it was just a matter of time before they would come face to face with each other. But why did it have to be at this moment. Part of him wondered that Halli being there didn't make the fact that he was a demon about a hundred percent worse than if it was Wyatt. Still it was better than no one being here.

He was finally able to lift himself to where he was sitting on his knees. He didn't dare stand up. Not for the fact that he was afraid of Halli and her interesting outfit. But just sitting up was painful enough, wasn't really sure if he would be able to stand up without leaning on something. "I'm Marcus Riddler. I work here," he said painfully. "Please I need help." Hoping that she would be able to do something.

Halli only worked in the club when she was trying to escape her family and had no where else to go. Sometimes the only way to avoid them was to hide in plain sight. And it didn't bother her that she was working. P3 had been her place in her world. It was a shit-hole, not working, and dank and destroyed. But it was the only place that was hers and the only place that was safe. So at the moment it seemed like the best place to be.

Until of course some random guy just teleports in. "I wasn't aware we had demons working the place." It wasn't that Halli knew he was a demon. But he had just teleported in. And her initial response to those situations was always demon accusations. However that didn't necessarily mean he was bad. And if Wyatt trusted him, she would at least wait to kill him until she had proof.

"What the fuck happened to you?"

"I'm about seventy five percent sure that no one else did either," he said trying to smile. He was so beyond hiding the fact that he was a demon. Hopefully she wouldn't freak out and try to blast him or whatever it was she could do. Because he was a little tired of being attacked today. "I'm kind of unwanted down under." Actually he was wanted, just wanted dead. Which was better he thought.

"I was thrown into a wall, several times by a very angry demon," he said prepared to teleport to another part of the room in case she attacked.

Well, normally Halli was a shoot first ask questions later kind of girl. Marcus was lucky today. The Goddess in her made her a lot calmer than she normally would have been. Not to mention she tended not to attack people her family knew... you know, just in case. It wasn't that she believed a demon could ever be good (she knew all about her Uncle Cole, that had happened in her universe, too) but she didn't want someone pissed that she offed their boyfriend or something.

"Well, get the fuck off the floor." She couldn't heal. Not as a White Lighter and not as a Goddess. But leaving him laying on the ground probably wouldn't go over well. Not with anyone. So she headed over, holding out her hand to help him up. "There's a first aid kit in the office."

At least she didn't attack him which was always a good sign around witches or demons for that matter. Couldn't be too sure who to trust these days with everyone thinking everyone else was on the wrong side. Even though she probably wouldn't believe him Marcus was definitely not on the side of evil anymore. Although he wasn't exactly on the side of good. Always thought he looked good in neutral colors anyway.

When Halli ordered him off the floor it took him a second but he finally took her hand to help himself up. Although when he started to fell he didn't grab onto Halli for support. Instead he used the trusty bar. "Thanks," he said as he headed to the office. When he walked in he sat on one of the chairs and took off his shirt. Which wasn't a pretty sight. His back was pretty badly torn up from the wall of the cavern he had been rammed against.

"If it helps I wasn't exactly hiding who I was," he said as he set his shirt on the end of the couch. He would have to get a new one with how torn up it was. But he hadn't told Wyatt about the fact he was a demon. If Wyatt had asked he would have answered truthfully but Marcus was positive that question would never some up.

Halli followed, leaving the office door open. No one else was here so it didn't really matter. She headed over to the desk and dug around until she could find the damned first aid kit. This not being able to heal thing was a pain in the ass now that she was in a world where she had to worry about more than just herself. She carried the box over to where Marcus was and set it down on his lap.

"Just so long as you're aware I will rip you to fucking shreds if you cross any of my family." She didn't care if he'd lied or not. It wasn't like she was on some moral high horse. Halli's moral compass didn't exactly point due north. It was constantly a problem in this world because everyone here was all goody-two-shoes except PJ. So if he wanted to keep his secrets, fine, but the moment it put her family at risk, he was toast.

Halli pulled out some antiseptic and a mess of medical cloth. She yanked Marcus around so his back was to her. "You sure it was just a demon? You look like you got into a fight with a lawn mower." Halli didn't warn him that it was going to sting. She just started dabbing at his wounds with the cloth trying to clean it up.

Marcus looked at Halli as she made her way around the office. It wasn't everyday that he went to someone for help so part of him felt weak for having to come here. But he could feel himself get weaker because of the blood loss. Which had slowed down a little since it was started to clot a bit.

"I wouldn't expect anything less," he nodded. "Although I haven't been on the side of the source since before the last two carnations of the source." It had indeed been a long time. He didn't realize it until he said it out loud. "I'm not well liked in the underworld anymore. Though the bounty hunters are fewer now."

"It was a demon and a cavern wall working against me," he stated as he cringed as she dabbed his wounds with the cloth. He had felt worse pain, hell he had caused worse pain. But still it came as a surprise.

"Demonic bounty hunters are easy to avoid." Halli had been doing it her whole life. Well, most of her life. They hadn't started coming after her until she started working as a mercenary. She was probably fifteen or sixteen when they started coming for her. Before that her dad had made sure no one knew she existed anymore. He was over-protective.

Halli had to rinse out the cloth and get a fresh on at least half a dozen times. And she wasn't exactly gentle. Halli wasn't one of those oh so sensitive concerned about other people kind of girls. She did what needed to be done and that was it. "At least you don't need stitches. I'm shit at stitches." She'd had to stitch herself up more than once when she'd gotten hurt and refused to call for Leo's help.
