Who: Marcus
When: Monday - September 30th, 2024- some time during the day
Where: Underworld
What: Looking for something important to him.
Status and Rating: Complete/PG-13
Marcus wasn't sure how long he would have to be down in the underworld. Which was why he had texted his boss that he would have to miss work. He enjoyed the new technologies of the world. Changed so much since he was a boy. Part of him was always slightly annoyed by it though. The laziness of it all but he new that it was just how things were at the moment. Maybe if he lived long enough he would be able to see the world return to the old ways. Although he was sure that half the planet would die within the first year of that happening. Hopefully it would never happen over night, the addictions some people have to such luxuries would cause them pain to lose it. Before he teleported Marcus looked down at his cell phone once more then set it on the table. He would not be taking it with him. Then with a moment he was no longer standing in his apartment but was in an empty corridor in the underworld. He was prepared to attack any demons in the area but luckily there weren't any. He has grown so tried of killing his own which was why he hadn't been in the underworld in so long. He didn't want to kill his old comrades or meet the new source. Who he was sure that the source thought he had died before he was placed in power. Marcus was hoping to keep it that way.
After several moments of waiting to see which way there were more demon foot traffic Marcus headed out. He knew were he was headed, hoping that no demon had made a home in the old place he called his home. More importantly hadn't touched any of his stuff. There was item that he worried about more than the others. One that he had been too long without. The fact that he waited just showed how much will power he had. Otherwise he would have returned to the underworld to soon and might have been swayed to return to his old ways. Even he doubted he would ever want that again he wasn't about it risk his humanity for a few trinkets and such.
He walked for almost a half hour before he reached the cavern that used to be his home. And like he thought someone had taken up residence here. He could see some of his stuff mixed along with the belongings of whoever made it there home. After waiting a moment for the demon that lived here to attack he started looking though all the belongings. "Damnit," he said as he still couldn't find the ring he was looking for. It was the only thing he had left of his family. That stone that he had made into a ring. And it wasn't here. He would find the demon that lived here and kill it if he didn't find it soon. It wasn't theirs to touch, in fact nothing that was here before should have been moved but since he wasn't here there was no way he could stop what happened. While he continued to search the demon that lived there flamed into the cavern.
"Who the fuck are you?" the demon yelled. Marcus quickly stopped what he was doing and turned to the demon that spoke. It didn't take long for Marcus to notice that the demon was wearing his ring. That fact was enough to kill the demon alone. But Marcus took in the fact that the demon flamed in which meant that it was an upper level. That and he didn't know the demons abilities.
"I'm Marcus and I believe that belongs to me," Marcus said pointing to the demons ring. Pointing that out wasn't as a good idea as Marcus thought it would be since it only seemed to piss the demon off. Once Marcus said that the demon attacked Marcus. Not with fireballs or energy balls but with super strength. Ramming Marcus into the wall of the cavern. Marcus wasn't going to attack the other demon but as he was continually rammed into the wall Marcus grabbed onto the demons hand and pried off the ring. It was only after that did he finally use his ability against the other demon. "Forgive me," he said as he put on of his hands on the now unconscious demon's head. A concentrated blast would erase the memories of Marcus ever being there. Maybe some more memories, Marcus couldn't be sure how much would be affected. He looked at the wall he had been rammed into and saw the pointed parts of rock, almost like spikes. Blood covered the tips. Then he felt his back with his left hand looking at it was he pulled his hand in front of him. Blood. "Fuck," he said as he teleported.
