Entry tags:alexander, parker, the underworld

WHO: Parker & Xander
WHEN: Sunday Sept 29, before dusk
WHERE: the Underworld
WHAT: family reunion?
RATING: pg

Parker woke up rather suddenly. She knew where she was immediately. The still, cold flesh pressed against her was a dead give away. She wasn't afraid. She wasn't confused. She was comfortable. And for the first time in a while, Parker knew exactly who she was. Maybe not completely who she was. But Parker had a distinct feeling of finally being where she belonged. With Bill. She loved him. She didn't know how or why or what had been missing before, she just knew that she loved him.

And she knew that she wasn't herself. Parker wasn't stupid. It didn't take her long to figure out what was going on. She had no memory of her mom and aunts turning into the gods, but she was pretty good at sorting things out for herself. She had more power than she thought was possible. Maybe not infinite power, but certainly enough. And when she touched a bit of dirt, she made a little strawberry plant grow. Which was great because she was hungry.

It was still early in the day when Parker woke up. She could tell because she didn't feel trapped. If she wanted to, she could just teleport herself home. But she didn't want to. Bill was still sleeping and she wouldn't go without waking him up. She climbed out of the coffin and pulled her toga on. It was fairly simple to put back on. And then she started wandering. It didn't dawn on her that it was probably a stupid idea to wander the Underworld considering who her mom was, mostly because she still wasn't really clear on the whole good vs. evil thing.

Xander wasn't sure what was happening to him, it wasn't everyday that he looked down and he was wearing a toga. But he was starting to figure out this wasn't the strangest thing that has happened in the Halliwell family. He would just have to get used to the fact that magic was going to be in his life a lot more then he was used to.

After a few moments Xander felt like he was being drawn somewhere. Without knowing exactly where he teleported in several bolts of black lightening. When he looked around he knew where he was, even though he had never really been there before. Well at this not really, the time when he had taken over the Seer was still a memory in his head. He knew he was in the underworld, he just knew that's where he was. This were all the demons were and all the evil but he didn't feel that these powers he had were evil nor were they good. It was more like they were neutral which was better then being evil.

Xander started walking around the underworld, not heading anywhere in particular. Just heading where he thought he should go and after a few minutes of walking he saw a girl. He knew her face, kind of. He had seen it before in a picture if he remembered correctly. “Hello?” he said as he walked slowly toward her.

Parker saw him coming from a long way off. Or maybe she "felt" him coming. She hadn't felt her empathy since waking up in a toga yesterday. But she was fairly certain she could feel what he was feeling. More than that, though, he looked familiar. Or maybe he felt familiar. And considering the rest of her memory was still missing, that was a good thing. Maybe whatever Bill had done to fix her last night was working on her memory. Either way she was willing to give it a shot.

The best way to do that? To ask right out, of course. But Parker wasn't quite there yet. She was going to try and work her way up to that part. "So umm... you, too?" Parker gestured at the toga he was wearing (which was fairly skimpy for a man's toga!). Subconsciously, she pulled at the smoky fabric of her own toga, as if she should be more covered up around him. Who the hell was he?

Xander didn't know why she was here or what she had been doing there. In truth the answers to those didn't matter to much to him. The fact that she was there was better then him being attracted to the underworld alone. He saw it was a way that proved that it wasn't evil that attracted him to this place.

He watched as she started to pull at her own toga. He didn't realize how extremely revealing his own toga was, it wasn't like he got a choice in the matter. “Yeah, I wonder if it happened to anyone else,” he said. It couldn't be only them that was walking around in these stupid togas. He just assumed after seeing her that all the Halliwells were wearing one.

“What are you doing down here?”

Parker and Xander had a lot of the same struggles. She didn't know it yet, obviously. In her world, Parker had struggled with the pull of evil often. Probably not as strongly as Xander, who had been the source before birth, but badly enough. Her demon side held sway, even if no one here knew it. Perhaps that's why they both ended here, they were the ones with the natural call to the dark side. Although that would be a matter to discuss if Parker's memory ever returned.

"I don't know, actually. I just... well, I woke up in the hospital. And then I was in a toga and my hair was... not brown anymore. And then suddenly I was-" in a vampire's bed, not the best thing to say "-here." Parker wasn't sure that revealing things to a stranger, especially in the Underworld, was a great idea. She still couldn't shake the feeling that she knew him, but that was no excuse.

Parker took a step closer, narrowing her eyes a bit. Maybe if she concentrated really hard... but no, that had only ever given her a headache. She felt like he knew her, though. She could sense it. That empathy thing (which was nearly non-existent down here) was coming through loud and clear. "Okay, this is going to sound stupid, but bear with me for a minute... do you know me?"

Xander listened to Parker. He had heard about the incident at the bank and that see had been in a coma for a while. It was probably not a good idea for her to be walking around but he didn't think it was his place to tell her what to do. Even though he was her older brother. Still he knew that Phoebe would probably hate the fact that two of her children were wandering around the underworld.

"I'm not sure why I'm down here either," he said. "Sort of had a feeling that I'm supposed to be here." That certainly cleared it all up, not! He wished that he had a better explanation to why he was down here. Why they both were down here but he didn't. Although one could be sure that he was not going to end up in a vampire's bed as she did.

Now he hadn't expected that she would even think that he knew her. Then again most of Phoebe's children had abilities like hers which was probably why. "Not really," he said. "I've seen pictures but we never had the chance to meet. You were in a coma when I came here." He didn't know if he should tell her but maybe after this toga thing was over she wouldn't remember. "I'm your brother but we've never met." When he said it out loud even he thought it sounded kind of odd.

Parker nodded. Although she didn't respond right away. There were so many things she felt she knew that just didn't match up to what everyone else was telling. If she had to guess, Parker would have said that she had known Xander for years. She felt like she did. In fact, she felt like she knew him and had never met her sisters that everyone said she had known since birth. None of it made sense to her.

"I'm glad to know I have a big brother." Parker tugged at her toga again. It certainly explained why she felt so awkward suddenly. Her toga didn't cover enough, not to mention she wasn't sure it was even on correctly considering it'd been ripped off last night.

"Did they tell you I had amnesia?" Parker didn't know what her family had been doing since she woke up. Or at least not what they were doing since she woke up when they weren't at the hospital with her.

At least Parker's reaction was better than Ally and Halli's had been. They seemed to think he was a demon and he didn't even blame them for thinking that. He was a demon, well only part but he wasn't evil. It was something that he had in common with Parker. Even if she or anyone would never know it.

He watched as she tugged more on her toga. "Oh sorry," he said as he looked away from her a little. It was understandable, even he was feeling a little exposed in his toga.

"No they didn't. But I only really talk to Phoebe," he said. Although that reminded him that it's been a while since he spoke to his mother.

It wasn't even really that Parker's toga left her exposed. It was fairly modest and covered what it needed to cover and then some. But Parker was a quiet, shy girl. And for some reason she just felt like her brother must be able to see right through her. To Parker it felt like Xander probably already knew what she'd done with Bill. And that made her uncomfortable... even if it wasn't true.

"I don't understand... why? I mean, you only talk to mom but you don't even call her mom? And you never met me? It just... it doesn't seem right." It seemed incorrect, first off. But it was also very confusing. This whole amnesia thing was making her batty.

If Xander did know what Parker had been doing he would never bring it up in conversation. His sister's sex life was really on the way bottom of the list of things he wanted to know about. Thankfully he didn't know about it. His ears would have been beet red if he did. Which would have been entertaining but embarrassing for the both of them. Especially for little Parker.

"I wasn't raised by her or with you guys. I was adopted," which he thought was the easiest way to explain it. Going into the whole he was taken from Phoebe's womb then killed a bunch of upper level demon, almost killing himself in the process. If that seer had not taken him into her womb then... well yeah it wasn't exactly a story someone says when they first meet someone. "I only met our mom a few months ago."

"I think there is one of your sisters that doesn't know about me yet," but he couldn't be sure that Ally hadn't told her yet.

This whole thing was a little bit weird. Even without the gods thing coming into play it just didn't seem normal. In fact, it might have been the whole gods thing that made it easier to deal with. A brother that the rest of her family hadn't known or grown up with, and she knew that didn't seem to fit. It was all a little unusual. But Parker was able to handle it a little bit easier because of Bill and because of this whole power of the gods thing.

"Do you know why this is happening?" It was a change of subject. And it was probably something he had already answered. But she needed to figure it out. Of all the things that Parker didn't remember, she wanted to have a clear answer on something. Why she was in a toga, why she had been sucked into the underworld -apparently with her brother- or even why it was that Bill was the only one whose emotions she couldn't pick up with her empathy.

Parker wasn't the only one that thought this was all a little too weird. But Xander couldn't help think this was a normal day in the world of the Halliwells. It was something that they had in common. Both of them were new to the whole magic all the time. She had amnesia and he had never really used his magic, he didn't really have reason to while he was growing up. Since he found his family he had used it more than he felt comfortable with.

In fact he hoped that the reason why this was happening would just come to him instinctively. Unfortunately that wasn't happening. "I don't really know," he said looking at Parker. "I'm guessing it's because something evil did this or the reason it happened." Usually when something when magically wrong there was some type of evil behind it.

Well, so much for lookin gup to her big brother for answers. Although it wasn't like she could blame him. He was as confused as she was. And she knew it. She could feel it. He felt uncomfortable with this excess of magic. And frankly, so did Parker. She wasn't even sure how she felt about magic at all, let alone about it being such a prevalent part of her life suddenly.

"Do you think it has anything to do with all the men dancing and dying?" Parker had seen it when she was in the hospital. All the male doctors and nurses had been skittish and full of energy, and when they started dancing the women sent them home. Parker had even asked her mom and sisters about it. But all they had said was that they were taking care of it and not to worry.

"I wish I could give the answer you were looking for," hell if he knew why this was happening he might be able to turn it off. But still he wasn't as knowledgeable in this field as some of their cousins. Of course he was taught about some of the magics, potions and spells but not much else.

He thought for a moment. "Yeah, that's possible," he said. Although he heard that they had it handled but apparently not.

Then he smiled at her. "I just figured something," he said. "You don't have to try to remember me." He figured everyone was probably pushing her to remember them. Not that it wasn't normal but couldn't be easy on her.

She hadn't meant to make him feel like he had to have an answer for her. It would have been nice, but she wasn't expecting it. If anything she just expected him to be nice and maybe a bit big-brother-protective over her. Having the answers, especially to a mess like this, is something she couldn't really expect out of anyone. Especially someone else who was in the same boat at the moment.

"That's... I don't know... I remember you, though." Parker's eyebrows knit together as she tried to remember something more solid than just a feeling. "Well, maybe not actually remember. I feel like I know you. And I don't feel like that with our sisters... or even my dad. It's just... I don't know. This whole amnesia thing is frustrating."

Xander was already in protective big brother mode but oddly he didn't think that either of them were in danger down here. Maybe it was because of their knew godly powers or something else. Or just the fact that he knew that if any demon came running out of the dark he would do anything to make sure it didn't touch Parker. Although he wasn't the only one that felt that way, not all of them were family either.

"Remember me?" that was odd. He had never met her before nor did he visit her in the hospital. But oddly enough he felt the same way as she did. Not just because he saw pictures of her. Even when he first arrived in the Halliwell manor he knew his mother from the moment he saw her. And he had never seen pictures of her before then. "Maybe you see Phoebe in me." Then again that didn't explain why she didn't feel the same way about her sister.

"Maybe. I don't know." Parker shrugged. She didn't understand any of it. She saw pictures of herself with her dad and sisters that just didn't feel real to her. And she knew she had never met Bill or Xander, but in her heart she felt like she had. There seemed to be more missing pieces than just her memory loss. Like the fact that she could shimmer instead of using cupid teleportation like her sisters. Why was that?

Looking around, Parker tried not to let it bother her too much. Although it was hard not to. She didn't have any solid memories. And on top of that she was suddenly powerful and powerfully drawn to the Underworld. It didn't make sense. "What do you know about togas?" Maybe they could deduce the reasoning behind this if they could take the facts and put them together right.

Xander couldn't imagine what was going on in her head. It wasn't like he had ever had amnesia. And like most people he never wanted to experience that. He wished that she would get her memory back, not just for her but for her family. It wasn't just hard on her. "I'm sure you'll figure it all out. Even if you just have to start over," he smiled. It wasn't like it was a hundred percent sure that she would ever get her memory back.

"Well when I think togas it's usually about something greek," he said. "Like Mount Olympus or something." Which was a little more spot on then Xander even knew.

Parker really really hoped she wouldn't have to start fresh. Although Bill had healed her scars and it still hadn't fixed her memory. Maybe it was something else. Although that was the least of her problems right now. She was in a toga in the Underworld with a vampire she loved and a brother she supposedly had never met. It was like a damn soap opera for the dark and disturbed.

"Mount Olympus? You mean like the gods and stuff?" Well that was... oddly familiar. Why did that sound familiar? "Well... what sort of powers do you have? I mean since the toga thing, what can you do?" Parker had gone to the surface once, during the day. And stuff had grown around her. But that was about it. Until she was sucked back here at nightfall.

Parker wasn't the only one living a dark and disturbed soap opera. Although Xander's wasn't as complicated as hers, he still had the interesting life. Hell, he wasn't even suppose to be alive. But he was so it was going to be complicated no matter how he spinned it.

"Yes. That's what I'm talking about," he wasn't sure if it made since or not but that's where all this seemed to point to. "I haven't really tried anything," and he hadn't noticed anything about his powers. Although now he was kind of curious about it. He held out his hand toward a a bunch of rocks in to the side of them. The rocks seem to disintegrate instantly. He stepped back a bit. "I guess I can do that."

Parker wasn't going to try her powers. She was terrified. The whole thing was a little bit weird. She didn't remember magic period. Now she was drawn into the Underworld and magic was taking over. If Xander could do that, Parker didn't want to know what she could do. She was just satisfied not knowing for the moment. Because honestly it could be a hell of a lot worse.

"That doesn't really... help any." Not that it wasn't interesting. It was. And apparently it was something he couldn't normally do. He looked like it was a surprise. But it wasn't like it was a clear explanation of why he was in a toga. It didn't scream Hades.
