WHO: Parker & family
WHEN: Wednesday early morning
WHERE: the Hospital
WHAT: Parker wakes up!
RATING & STATUS: duno

The first thing Parker remembers is the beeping. There was constant beeping all around her. Long and loud beeps, short and high pitched beeps, beeps that almost sounded like jingling. And then there was actual jingling. Was it keys? Keys. That was something nice and normal. It reminded her of cars, of doors, of diaries. Normal things. Things that actually made sense. Not like the blasted beeping. It made Parker realize she was laying in a bed and that if she opened her eyes, she could see the room. If she wiggled her fingers and toes she could start to feel where she was. And very slowly she started to wake up.

Parker didn't remember anything. She didn't know her own name. She knew common things. She knew the year. She knew she was in a hospital. And she knew that if she pressed the little hat button on the remote beside her hand, a nurse would come. And so she did. And after about twenty frantic minutes, the doctors told her that her mother was on the way. Parker had no idea who her mother was. She couldn't imagine her mother. She didn't know a name. She had no memory. But she knew what a mother was, so she just had to trust that it was for the best.

The doctors had warned Phoebe on the phone that Parker didn't remember anything, including her own name. The mother was warned. And the daughter was poked and prodded and asked questions for the next twenty minutes or so. They got her something to drink. They got some sustenance and fluids in her. They even helped her to the bathroom. And by the time the door opened to face that should have been familiar, Parker was sitting up in bed. She was drinking ice water through a straw and looking very confused. The expression didn't change when her family walked through the door. She just couldn't remember anything.

Phoebe was sitting down with a bowl of popcorn and her favorite movie that just so happened came out on DVD. She could get rid of that VHS one that she'd had for years. It was her quiet time and her day off none the less so she was going to enjoy it. And she was hoping without interruptions.

It had just gotten to a good part when all of a sudden the home phone started going off and so she paused it and put the popcorn down. Didn't anybody know that it was her day off? well, for one she was NOT going into work today, she would refuse. But it wasn't work it was the hospital saying that Parker had woken up from her coma. It was a miracle, she had woken up finally and Phoebe didn't waste anytime. After speaking with the doctor and them saying that she has amnesia of a sort she wasn't going to just sit back and watch her movie. Instead she picked up her purse and headed out of the loft.

When she finally got to the hospital she went up to Parker's floor and the nurse told her where to go from there. She knocked and looked at Parker "Hey, the doctors called me and told me you had woken up" she smiled and sat down in a chair "and they told me that you don't remember anything" she sighed "well, in case you don't know me, I would be your mother" she smiled at her "I know I seem stupid saying that I'm your mother even though you probably already knew. okay I'm babbling, I'm going to stop now"

Parker watched as the woman came through the door. Somehow Parker had a sense of self. If she had seen family pictures, Parker could have picked herself out. Looking in a mirror would not have been a surprise to her. And thus when she saw Phoebe, she noted immediately that this woman in the door way looked a lot like Parker. Or rather, maybe Parker looked a lot like this woman. That was what the case turned out to be.

Shifting in her bed, Parker watched Phoebe with her eyes narrowed a bit. She was babbling. It was a little weird, but not really upsetting. Not yet anyway. Parker just kind of nodded. "I don't remember anything. I don't... They told me my name is Parker. They said my mom was on her way... that you were on your way." Parker leaned forward, touching her mother's hand as if that would bring her memories back. She got nothing. It was a blank slate still. She shook her head and sighed. "I'm sorry I don't remember you... or... you know... me..."

Phoebe sat there and looked at her. She had been through a lot and for her not to be remembering her didn't make her cry or anything, but it made her sort of hopeful that she would help her to get her memory back. So she put her hand on top of Parker's and looked at her and smiled.

Even though she was babbling it was only that she really didn't know what to say. But she had a solution, she always kept photos in her purse and maybe that would help a little bit or maybe if Parker had questions she would answer them to the best of her ability. "well, that's why I brought these and yes, your name is Parker" she took out the photos in her purse and held them to Parker "I always kept these photos in my purse, maybe they would help, or if you have any questions that you want answered I will be more than happy to tell you and help you to remember who you are"

Parker smiled back, but it was a sad sort of smile. Her head was throbbing. She felt like she could feel her mom's pain. Like really! But that was ridiculous. It was a little much. She needed to focus on the facts. Her mom was here and trying to help her remember.

Taking the photos, Parker looked them over. She didn't recognize anyone in them except herself. Well, and her mother, now. She wasn't sure what to ask. "What's your name?" She had no idea how that would help, but maybe it would. "And my dad's? I... I do have a dad, right? I mean, of course I have a dad. But is he around? Do I know him?" That was the starting point. How she came into the world, and because of who.

She was glad that she had these pictures to show Parker to look at it. It would be a simple reminder that she had other family and slowly she would help her to regain that memory. After all family was important, especially this family.

Phoebe looked at her and the pictures "My name is Phoebe. and of course you have a father, and he's around but very busy. He's a cupid named Coop and he is a very wonderful father. and I don't know if you would know him but that's him" she pointed in the picture "right there. does he look familiar to you?" she asked "oh and you have a nickname that I called you when you were little and sometimes I call you this today. and if you want me to stop saying it just say the word. But I call you my ladybug" she smiled. she then pointed out some more people "and here in this photo are your sisters, Ally and PJ"

For a second, the nickname brought some kind of memory. Something about school. Mom picking her and some cousins up. Boy cousins. Phoebe had called her Ladybug. Her cousins had been teasing her and mom had stopped them. But before she had a chance to full focus on that memory, something else poked at her mind.

"He's a cupid?" That was the stupidest thing she'd ever heard. Or at least... she thought that was the stupidest thing she'd ever heard. She couldn't be sure, of course, with that memory loss. But a cupid? That wasn't real, at all. That was mental. Was she a part of a family full of lunatics? And why was her head swimming like it was? Maybe it was just the medicine. She hoped it was just the medicine.

Hoping that with that nickname it would let her remember about her childhood at least. It would be a start, and it would take some time before she would remember anything but Phoebe was willing to go that extra distance to help her out. After all it was her daughter, and she wasn't going to stop until she well, could at least remember a lot of things.

She nodded as she smiled "yeah he's a Cupid" she then realized that maybe she had said too much or that maybe since Parker didn't know who she is that she didn't know that she was a witch and that her whole family were witches. "ummm Parker, maybe there is something that I should have told you before all of this Cupid stuff" she sighed as she told the nurse that they were going to need some mother daughter time for a bit and then she closed the door and sat back down "you see, our family is special. you are special, and what I mean is that we're witches" she looked at her "and just so you don't think that I'm going crazy or anything I'll show you" she sighed as she got up "now I have more than one power but this is my only active power" she closed her eyes and levitated off the ground a little bit and came back down. She just wanted Parker to see that she was part of a family of witches.

Parker sat up a lot straighter. Her head was still extremely fuzzy. Her head was still swimming. And suddenly she didn't know what to say. The woman in front of her, her mother, had just floated. And told her she was a witch. That she had special powers too. Really? Her head started throbbing. And then it was like suddenly she could feel everything that everyone in the whole hospital was feeling. Happiness, sadness, anger. All the stages of mourning. Pain. There was so much pain.

Lifting her hands, Parker covered her face. She squeezed her eyes shut, not even realizing that she was making little whimpering sounds. It was something Phoebe was probably used to after all this time. (Or thought she was, anyway.) Parker had been going through stages like this for her whole life. Sometimes her empathy just got too strong for her to be able to handle.

Phoebe didn't want to startle her into thinking that she was a weirdo or anything. But she felt it had to be done because she would find out sooner or later. It was right for her to show her that they were all different just in case that she did use her powers and didn't know why she had them, well, now she would know.

But then she saw her covering her face and whimpering a little bit and she became worried. She didn't know what was going on so she looked at Parker "Parker, Ladybug what's going on? you can tell me? are you in pain or anything, what can I do to help?" she didn't know what was going on with her at all so she asked the simple questions first.

Sniffling, Parker tried to get a hold of herself. Her head was just pounding. She felt like everyone was screaming. "It's so loud," she whimpered. The room was pretty silent, honestly. There were two or three beeps and blips, but that was it. Parker just felt like everyone was screaming. Everyone in the whole hospital was in her head being as loud as they could possibly be.

Parker didn't understand that she had empathy. She didn't understand what magic she had. She knew her mother could float, apparently. So the fact that she could feel everyone's emotions was a little foreign to her. She did, however, start remember her mom a little bit more. For some reason that the tone of Phoebe's voice when she called Parker Ladybug made Parker start to remember. She reached one hand out to Phoebe, still whimpering. "Mom, it's hurts. They're all so loud. What's going on?"

Phoebe almost became frantic but knowing that Parker must be feeling her empathy and how it was hard for her to adjust to it when she first had it. Feeling all those emotions and it making you feel like you can't take it anymore. She knew how Parker was feeling.

So she ran her hands through her daughters hair "it must be your empathy, shoot I knew that this was going to start coming back quick for you. just hang in there. I'm here for you, I went through the same thing feeling everybody's emotions all at the same time. I'm sorry honey really I wish I could make it all go away for you"

"Empathy?" Parker rubbed her temples a few times. She squeezed her mom's hand, whimpering a bit. It was only a few minutes before a nurse came in to check her vitals. She checked the machine, looking worried, and asking what was wrong with poor Parker. "My head hurts a lot. It feels like someone is screaming in there."

The nurse said she was going to talk to the doctor about it. And when she closed the door behind her, Parker looked back at Phoebe. "Mom, what do you mean empathy? What's wrong with my head? I can't remember anything and everything just hurts! And magic? I don't understand anything. What happened to me? Why am I even in the hospital?"

Phoebe wrapped her arms around her daughter, there was really nothing that she could do this was Parker's power and she wished that she could take it all away. Then the nurse came in and let her and Parker talk for a moment before she would go into details.

After the nurse had left the room and Parker had asked her a ton of questions. Phoebe of course would answer them. "Okay this might explain a lot. Empathy is a power that lets you feel everyone's emotions, and if you are feeling pain you are probably feeling other patients emotions what they are going through. and yes your entire family we come from a long line of witches and everyone has powers" she then about cried but held her composure and she remained strong "Ladybug you and your sisters were at the bank making deposits or something and their was a robbery and the man was going to shoot PJ but you tried to save her and instead you were shot which put you in the coma"

As soon as Coop recieved the voicemail from Pheobe, he knew exactly where he needed to be. Without a moment's hestatation, he transported himself to Parker's hospital room using his ring.

He didn't need to put much thought into telling the ring where he wanted to go. All he had to do was think about his precious little girl-- a single memory did the trick-- the day that she was born.

Before he knew it, there he was in the room next to his wife and child. Tears streamed down his face upon seeing her. Phoebe had mentioned in her voicemail to him that their daughter couldn't remember the events of her life or the people around her so he treaded lightly.

"Hi there, Parker.. my name is Coop. I'm your father."

Parker looked up when Coop appeared in a little poof of pink. Her heart rate jumped a little. That was much more shocking than Phoebe levitating a bit. But after a moment or two Parker's vitals relaxed a little bit. She looked at him for a few long minutes. Then she looked at the pictures of them, back to him, and back to the pictures. There was one specifically of just the two of them and she looked so happy.

But he didn't feel like her father. Not the way Phoebe felt like her mom. Parker didn't remember Phoebe, except one brief second of memory when she was small. But somehow it just seemed right that Phoebe was her mum. With Coop she didn't get that same feeling. It was different. Like she resented him for saying it. Maybe they'd had a falling out? But it didn't seem like it, especially from the pictures.

"How recent are these pictures, mom?"

After Phoebe had made the phone calls she went back to sitting in the chair next to Parker's bed and she put her hand on top of Parker's hand and looked up at her and smiled "well, I'm pretty sure that your going to have many others coming to the hospital to come and see you and don't worry they will all introduce themselves to you".

Just then she saw pink in the room. It must be Coop, and she was right, but he was crying. So she went and gave him a hug "hey babe. its alright, she's awake and doing very well. you should go and talk with her for a bit sit and let her know who you are besides her father"

The Parker had asked about the pictures that she was looking at and she had to laugh as she went by her bedside once again "oh these are pretty recent. actually these are from last Christmas and also when we had our family fun night at home just about a couple weeks before well, the bank robbery, why do you ask sweetie?"

As soon as her first class had let out, Ariel stopped to check her voicemail. The phone had started ringing in the middle of class, which had earned her quite a few annoyed glares, so she hadn't answered it. Once she heard her mother's message, though, she was kicking herself for ignoring that call. By the time she reached her dormroom- after running to get there from the other side of campus- she tossed her bag, slammed the door, and orbed out.

Reappearing in a nice, empty alley behind the hospital, she quickly found her way up to the right floor and the room she'd been to often over the last few months. The door was closed, but she went in anyway.

"Oh, Parker!" She cried, over at the bedside in a flash and smothering Parker with a hug. "I'm so sorry about all the arguing!" It all seemed just so trivial now, the fighting and bickering. Parker was back and awake and everything would be right as rain.

Parker's eyes went wide. She had been previously distracted by her parents. Parker felt a vague connection to her mother. Something about Phoebe was familiar; it was like a subconscious bond. Maybe it was the bond of blood. But she didn't feel that way about Coop, her father. Looking at herself in those pictures, she looked so happy with him. And yet she didn't remember even a little bit of Coop.

But then suddenly there was a girl throwing herself on Parker. Parker's eyes went wide a little bit. She sat up a little, shaking and trying not to seem put off by this. This was her family. She just felt a little bit weird about all this.

"Arguing?" Was this one of her sisters? Did she not get along with them?

Ariel was confused, but only for a moment. That was right; her mother had said something about amnesia. So she didn't remember the fighting? Nothing? With the way Parker was looking at her, it seemed like she had no idea who she was.

She got up, half-leaning on the bed as to not be so crowding. "Oh, it's nothing, it's not important now." She assured her, smiling brightly and her tone soothing. She wrapped her hand over Parker's fingers, careful not to touch the protruding IV. "You don't remember anything? Anything at all? How do you feel? Are you in pain? Do you need a nurse or something?"

Phoebe was trying to let Parker know how she ended up in the hospital with a coma. How she saved PJ by getting in front of the bullet herself, she could have died but she didn't and that really gave Phoebe a great feeling to know that Parker was going to be alive and well.

So as she was running a hand through Parker's hair she saw Ariel and smiled but it looked like she was in a frantic of some sort. But she knew that she wanted to see Parker so she backed away and went and sat in a chair. She didn't need to have all of Parker's time. She knew that most of the family would be here to visit with Parker.

Charlotte was in class when she had gotten a message from her mother. So she excused herself and grabbed her bookbag and listened to her message and she began to get so happy. She screamed "OH MY GOD" all the students turned around and looked at her and she looked at them and apologized before she went back to her dorm room and put her bag down and she orbed into a back alley and then went across the street and entered the hospital.

She had asked which room a Parker Halliwell was in. After she got the information she took the elevator and entered the room "Hey guys, I hope I'm not late" she then looked at Parker and went over to her "Hey Parker, I'm Charlotte your cousin. ummmm I even brought this with me" she had taken out a picture of her, Ariel, and Parker sometime a couple years ago and showed it to her "this was such a fun day" she smiled at her.

Parker watched the girl for a few seconds. She couldn't remember if she'd seen this one in the pictures mom had handed her. But she certainly seemed like a sister. She was fretting over everything suddenly. And looking extremely concerned.

It dawned on Parker that she was going to be facing this kind of thing for the next few days. Everyone was going to be in and out of her hospital room. She wasn't going to recognize any of them. And they were all going to ask her the same questions and stuff her full of memories she just couldn't grasp right now.

"I'm fine." She paused, shaking her head a little. "Well, no. Obviously I'm not fine. But I'm not in pain. I don't remember anything and my head is swimming, but I'm not in pain or anything."

And then the other one had walked in. Twins? She didn't have twin sisters, did she? No. Mom had pointed out her sisters. These weren't them. Cousins. Yes. Cousins. She had a lot of those, didn't she? Parker reached out and took the picture. She saw the look on her face. She was so happy. "Thanks, Charlotte. Pictures are... helping, I think." Helped with mom, anyway. Not so much with dad yet.

Oh, right, amnesia. It didn't occur to Ariel that Parker wouldn't know who she was in relation to her, let alone her name. "Ariel. I'm Ariel, but sometimes people just call me Ari for short." She was hoping very much that pictures would help jog Parker's memory, and Ari grasped at the glimmer of hope. She would bring lots of pictures, all the ones she could find, even the crappy ones. Hey, a picture was a picture. Maybe she could even dig up some of their old home movies. Parker was bound to be in some of them, like the ones of birthday parties.

"Everything will be fine, you just wait and see. There's a lot of people who've been waiting for you to pull through," She beamed, still very happy and relieved to see her cousin up and talking. "We have so much to tell you, to catch up on in the time that you've been sleeping!" Good things would help, right? Right.

PJ had already arrived, getting her mother's message not long after Phoebe had left it. She lingered just outside the doorway, unable to go in the room and face Parker. She took a deep breath and a step to go in, but ended up leaning against the wall, still outside the door.

This was too much. It had been like that all summer for her, unwilling to go and see her sister like that, unlike Ariel. Especially since she still felt responsible for what had happened. If only she would have listened to Parker that day, or even Ally! Yes, she knew she would've been dead instead, but then again, Parker wouldn't have been stuck in a wakeless sleep for three months.

Wyatt had heard about it when the hospital staff had called Phoebe, but he hadn't been able to get out of his duties to go see her, not until just then anyway. He'd already gotten a call from Piper about it too, so he'd finished in a hurry and headed to meet those who had already arrived. He spotted PJ hanging around in the hallway, giving her a stern eye to quit being so selfish about it and suck it up. When she broke her gaze from him to avoid his eye, he gave her a light push towards the door. PJ grumbled and stepped in the room but stayed out of the way, up against the wall just inside the door.

"Hey, Aunt Phoebe," Wyatt said, giving she and Coop a hug before turning to Parker. "Hey, you! Welcome back."

Parker looked around in amazement. The room was suddenly very full of people. And all these people were supposed to be her family. She didn't recognize about half of them. (Well, okay, two so far.) The rest of them she felt like she knew, but couldn't really get a solid feel for it. It was weird and it was making her head hurt.

But, hey, at least all these people were happy! Not like the things she'd been feeling earlier. Her empathy (wasn't that was Phoe- Mom had called it?) was not just picking up pain right now, just lots of good things. Well, except the girl in the corner. Parker looked around nodding at people for a minute, but flipped through the pictures. She glanced at the back of one. Names! Yay names! Mom, Dad, Parker, Ally, PJ.

"PJ?" Parker looked up. She could tell this was one of her sister's by the picture. She didn't feel anything for the girl, no bond, no memories, nothing. But PJ was the only one in the whole room not absolutely thrilled to see her. She just felt... upset. Nervous maybe? No, guilty. She felt guilty. Why did PJ feel guilty?

Melinda was walking back to her dorm room so that she could take a quick nap before her next class. So when she had entered her room she had set her bookbag down by the door and she took her cell phone out of the pocket and noticed that she had a voicemail. So she listened to it and it was her mom saying that Parker was alive, Melinda couldn't believe it she was so excited.

She was going to orb there immediately but she first had to e-mail her professors to let them know that she wouldn't be in class due to a family emergency but would stop by later to get the notes. Then sighing she orbed into a dark alleyway and walked into the hospital. From there she had to ask where Parker's room was and once she was told she headed up there.

Whens he got there it seemed that almost everybody was there already. So she waved "Hey Everybody" she then went up to Parker and from what her mom said she had to introduce herself to Parker "Hey Parker, I'm Melinda, another cousin of yours" she then took a picture out of her pocket "oh here thought you'd like this one. it was taken a few years ago when we decided to take a little trip to the beach. that was a fun day" she laughed while giving it to her "here you can have it if you want"

Phoebe sat there and smiled, everybody was coming and bringing all these pictures. She was wondering if all of that would help Parker to remember, it may take some time but hopefully all of this would help her to remember how her life was. She had lots of family that loved her and that were close to her. She then heard a voice and smiled "Hey Wyatt" she then got up and gave him a hug "its good to see you" she then looked at Melinda "hey its good to see you too Melinda"

Melinda smiled as she went over to her Aunt Phoebe and gave her a hug "hey its good to see you too Aunt Phoebe. how are you holding up?"

"oh its going, still trying to help Parker remember. its good that you came" she smiled.

"oh I wouldn't have missed this at all. Me and Parker were close. well, its good to see you" she then went back over to the bed and stood at the side "so how are you Parker? is there anything that I can do or get you?"

When her phone vibrated in class she thanked God she had remembered to put it on silent that day. After class let out and went into the bathroom to check her phone. Her mother had called to say that Parker was awake. She couldn't describe the amount of relief that swept through her at the thought. Quickly checking to make sure that no one was in the bathroom she teleported herself into the hospital. Another bathroom, she really needed to work on that.

She walked to the front desk to ask where Parker was and then was directed to her room. She quickly walked into the room but fell short. She felt that immense guilt hit her like it had when Parker had first gotten shot, it was very heavy and it stung. Add on top of that the confusion she felt radiating from Parker herself and Ally was basically a big walking ball of emotions. So she walked to the edge of her sisters bed and smiled tentatively at her.

"Hey Parks." she said. Then she remembered that Parker had amnesia. "I'm your sister Ally." she explained.

Another one with guilt? That must be her other sister. Why her sisters felt guilty about her being in a coma was unclear. But Parker could definitely feel an outpouring of unhappy emotions from them. It was so overwhelming that Parker wasn't even sure that they were happy she was awake. Although she could tell everyone else was.

In fact... Parker's head was swimming a little. Wasn't there a occupancy limit on these rooms? There were fifty thousand people in here and they were all feeling something different and Parker was starting to feel very confused and very dizzy and she closed her eyes, pressing her palms into the bed for support. She needed a quiet place. She needed no more noise. She needed to shut all this out. Her head was pounding and throbbing and aching and loud. Everything was so damned loud.

Phoebe saw everyone and was glad that so many people could make it to see Parker but then she saw Parker not looking so well, her head must be bothering her again she thought. So the only reason would be for people to take a seat and still be in the room or they could go and wait in the waiting room with each person taking fifteen minutes to talk to her. All of this must be so overwhelming for her.

So Phoebe got up and put her hands together and sighed "hey guys. Parker is probably feeling all your guy's emotions right now. so why don't you guys take 15 minutes each or however long Parker would like you to stay, that way its not so overwhelming for her" she then went up to Parker "or what do you want them to do Parker? its up to you sweetie on how many people you'd like in your room and everything"

"Yeah," Wyatt started, backing Phoebe up. "The next time a nurse walks in here, she's going to kick everyone out. How about we just let Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Coop and the girls stay for now?" He suggested, nodding towards Ally and PJ.

Ariel didn't want to leave, but it seemed unfair to hog up Parker at the moment. She shouldn't be so hounded by everyone at once, surely she was having some empathy issues. Especially since she probably had no idea what was going on and if she did, well, it was all probably overwhelming. She patted the top of Parker's head, giving her a smile when she stood up. "We'll all go out to the waiting room."

"Come on, guys," Wyatt started again after he started ushering people out towards the waiting room, subtly blocking PJ's way when she tried to leave too.

Parker groaned, although she wasn't sure if she was groaning because of her head or because of everyone around her. As the whole group of people started to filter out of the room, the buzzing in Parker's head began to dull. It was still there, but it was starting to become bearable again. She just wished she could have some pain killers or something. Or a sedative. Maybe if she could just go back to sleep. But if she did that, her family would be upset.

Pressing her palms to her face, Parks tried to calm herself down again. When she lifted her head and dropped her hands, it was only her mom, Coop, and two of the girls there. Her sisters, she could only assume. They were the two who had been feeling so guilty. PJ, if she remembered correctly, was the one standing furthest from her. And then Ally was closer. Parker glanced between them and then back to Phoebe for a minute. "Does it always hurt this much?"

Phoebe sighed and was glad that Wyatt had agreed with her. She didn't want people getting upset with her because she had asked them to leave for a bit while she could at least try and get Parker to settle down with her empathy power. "Thanks Wyatt, how about I'll come and get you guys and you can come in a little at a time and don't forget your pictures or anything to help her remember" Before he left Phoebe went and gave everyone a hug.

Then turning her attention back to her daughters she put a hand slightly over her mouth and then went up to the bed and ran her hands over Parker's forehead "well, it does for a little bit. but you will get used to it and then it will be like the pain isn't even there. actually Chris got your Aunt Piper and Aunt Paige's emotions to not trigger my empathy by having them drink a potion, maybe I can see if he can remember it and make up a batch for everyone to drink that way your not feeling your family's emotions" she smiled at Parker "how about that?"

Ally watched as her sister pressed her hands to her face. The empathy seemed to be so strong for her, like she had just gotten it. Ally knew what that was like. She shook her head and listened to her mother. A potion? What was this? Ally was never given a potion to help her, she handled it, but it would have helped, a lot. She kept quiet though and listened for Parker's answer, maybe it was for the best if it would keep her from being in pain.

The one thing PJ was grateful for was the fact that she was only person in the room who was not an empath. Not like them, anyway. She could find people with their emotional auras, know what they were feeling, but the empathy of her mother, father, and sisters was much broader and the connections wide open. PJ's was not. She had to actively use it to access it. And if she didn't want to, then she didn't. It was as easy as that. And the fact that they could all feel her, that was the very reason she'd come to bottle all the things she felt herself. If they could feel them, then they didn't have to see them too. They were her feelings, and sharing made her uncomfortable.

"For you, it does." She finally spoke for the first time upon entering the room. Sugar-coating the answers would just make it harder for Parker, and PJ wasn't one to put things lightly. "If you fight it, it will always hurt." Sure, she still felt guilty, but Parker was alive now. Awake, anyway. And when PJ got to a point that such guilt consumed her, it was easy to let the bitterness slip out with it.

Parker looked around at her family. Or who was supposedly her family. She felt more connected to Ally and PJ than Coop. But she couldn't remember a single thing about her sisters. At least she had one little bitty piece of a memory of Phoebe... of Mom. It was all just horrible. And it was confusing and hard to sort things out for herself with all this empathy clouding what she was feeling and thinking.

Her gaze turned now and again, finally stopping on PJ when she spoke. For a minute she just kind of watched PJ. She wasn't exactly feeling so much of what PJ was feeling, rather she could see it and hear it in her sister's voice. "It always hurts like this?" She couldn't imagine spending her life feeling like her head was going to explode from all these emotional explosions. "Who's Chris?"

Phoebe looked over at PJ and kind of gave her a warm smile. She was really worried for her at some of the time and she wanted to just go and give her a hug but she restrained from doing. So she just rubbed Parker's forehead, glad that she was alive, and then pretty soon she would go and let other people in if they wanted to come and see Parker.

Sighing to herself she looked down at Parker "well, yeah for a while because your in the hospital so your going to be feeling people's pain. I'm so sorry sweetie, I really wish there was something that I could do for your pain" she then remembered that she never explained who Chris was "oh I'm sorry ladybug, Chris is another cousin of yours. he is the middle child of your Aunt Piper and Uncle Leo"

A lifetime with empathic parents had taught PJ how to keep a proper poker face whether she meant to or not. Which was exactly what she was doing just then. She had a flat expression, neither smiling nor frowning. She was tense, yes, but her face was completely relaxed, unlike her posture. With how hard she was leaning against the wall, it was a good thing that it wasn't some flimsy drywall.

"Don't lie to her," She said, staring down her mother. "It's always hurt her because she fights it. Like trying to pull her finger out of a Chinese finger trap. Forcing it just makes you get stuck. Fighting it just makes your head hurt." She gaze turned to Parker again, quiet for a moment before she spoke again. "Don't be stupid about it this time."

Guilt was an angering emotion. PJ hated it. When she hurt, she lashed out. She was no cupid. Forget genes.

The Waiting Room

Piper had been at the restaurant bright and early that morning. The cell phone had been on vibrate, but she hadn't answered it when the last call came in. She'd been too preoccupied reprimanding one of the new waitress, one who had a serious balance problem. Did she have to drop every tray? It was bad enough most of the male workers bees were... yeah, she didn't even want to deal with that.

During a much needed break, she'd picked up that phone to check the waiting voicemail, almost dropping the phone when she heard it. She left the restaurant in the hands of one of her managers and left, making multiple phone calls on the way to the hospital.

Just as she spotted Wyatt and the others getting to the waiting room just as she did, she ambushed them with questions. "How's Parker? Are Coop and the girls here yet? Where's Phoebe? What room are they in?"

Wyatt raised his hands, trying to quiet Piper's rambling questions. "They're here, Parker is as all right as she can be at the moment, and they're in room 410. But you should stay here for a bit, let them have their time right now."

Piper tried to protest, but after a good few minutes of arguing with Wyatt, she gave up. He was right anyway. "Well," she started, sitting down on one of the dull colored brown couches. "How does she look? Does she remember anything at all?"

After hugging her Aunt Phoebe and following Wyatt out,Melinda went into the waiting room and sat down in a chair and started to read a magazine. She would stay and then would go and visit with Parker when it was a good time. She missed Parker, and she was sorry about their fight and everything that had happened. She was glad that Ariel had forgiven her enough and they were really close now and she liked that feeling.

Then her mother came in a frantic state and she was about to say something but Wyatt had already had a good hold on the situation which made her mom calm down a bit. So she went and hugged her mom "Hey Mom, its alright. she's going to be okay" she then looked at her and smiled "she looks pretty good. but sadly she doesn't remember anyone or anything, thank goodness I had came prepared and brought some pictures of us" she then sighed and then she looked at both Wyatt "ummm so can I get anything for you guys?"

After leaving the room Charlotte had went into the hallway and was just pacing. She couldn't just sit and wait. Her cousin was awake and she wanted to help her remember, but at the same time she needed to let her Aunt Phoebe and other cousins get a chance to be with her. So she found a chair and sat in it and picked up a magazine and started looking at it.

Ariel caught up with Charlotte, one of her hands finding one of her sister's and entwining their fingers, resting her head on Charlotte's shoulder when she sat on the arm of the chair. "Calm down. Parker looks beautiful. She's going to be right as rain in no time." It was such a wonderful thing, an answer to a prayer. Having Parker back, things would be different. Ari had promised herself that there would be no more arguing and fighting, that things would be like they were before all the trouble had started. She'd sorely missed her friend. Not having Parker around was like not having Charlotte.

"I would enjoy some hot chocolate, if they have it," She answered when Melinda had asked the question, even if it hadn't been directed at her.

Piper felt bittersweet at the new development, taking a breath of relief. Great that Parker was out of her coma, but sucked that she didn't remember anyone or anything. But what counted was her awakening. The rest, hopefully, could be remedied in time. "I'll come with you," she answered Melinda, getting back up from the couch she'd been on. She needed something to do other than sitting and waiting. She'd never been good with anxious patience. "Where's the cafeteria, Wyatt?"

"Second floor, end of the left wing." He answered, taking a seat himself. He was volunteering at the hospital, not actually working under a boss, so he didn't have to get right back to it if he didn't want to. He normally didn't do that, but now happened to be an exception. He wanted to stay with the family for now.

Melinda looked at her mom and nodded "alright hot chocolate it is" she then went and hugged her mom and then she looked at Wyatt "alright. thanks Wyatt. ummm is there anything that I can get you while I'm down there?" she had asked her brother. It would be a good way for her to clear her thoughts just going down and getting things for people while they waited to have their turn with Parker. So she looked at Wyatt waiting for an answer from him before heading down.

Charlotte felt her sister and she was almost at the point of crying. She felt bad for PJ and Ally with everything that had gone on with Parker, if anything had happened to Ariel she wouldn't know how she would handle that situation. kissing her sisters head "yeah I know. its just that I feel bad for Ally and PJ you know, having their sister not even recognize them. If anything happened to you, or if I couldn't remember you it would so hard on me" she then put the magazine down "Ariel, lets promise each other that even though we're in school that we take time to spend sister time together. I really miss our times that we usually had and I don't want us to part by going to school and then forgetting about each other"

Ariel laughed lightly, a serene sort of whimsical, carefree laugh. "Nothing would ever make me forget my other half," she assured Charlotte, lifting her head so she could actually look at her when she talked to her. "Parker will remember in time. And if she doesn't, then it's no big deal. She has all of us to fill in the blanks for her."

Piper had already started walking off toward the cafeteria once Wyatt declined the offer, shaking his head when Melinda had asked. Wyatt was still, sitting with his elbows on his legs and his chin propped up by his hands. Where the hell was everyone else? Maybe they hadn't gotten the message yet. He had half a mind to go and fetch each one of them. Parker waking up from an unexplainable coma was more than enough to merit a family gathering.

Charlotte laid her head on Ariel's head that was already on her shoulder "awww your such a great twin sister. and we are certainly the best one half of a whole" she ended up laughing. "yeah I know. its just so sad seeing her like this. and her empathy must be giving her such a hard time too. poor Parker, BUT the bright side is that we can now go through old photographs" she put her head up "which is always my favorite you know"

Melinda saw that her mom was already heading towards the cafeteria so she decided to follow her. She caught up with her and then looked at her "are you doing alright mom? is there anything that I can do?" she kind of missed talking with her mom even though she was the one that would start the conversation. She was busy with school, and lately she felt as if she was drifting apart from her mom, and she really didn't like it at all.
