Summary: It’s a game of cat and mouse, but who’s the cat and who’s the mouse? A vengeful Alessa baits Sal into going on a “date” with her in Emptiness. This get-together quickly morphs into something Sal was not expecting. A day’s worth of torture? Sure, why not. She’s not his One True Love for nothing.

Summary: On his way back from installing cameras in parts of Emptiness that L wants to use for the Trial while away from home, an old enemy is encountered. A gun fight ensues, in which L almost pulverizes Light, but makes the big mistake of being sportsmanlike and firing a warning shot. He then gets shot in the shoulder, with the same kind of bullet Light used to control Blythe. From there, L has no choice but to do as Light says until Mello becomes an unlikely hero.

Summary: Despite her own warning to stay inside, Blythe goes to the greenhouse to grab a book she’d forgotten. Sal, who’s been spying on Asgard for the last week, takes the opportunity to capture her. Everything goes according to plan.
