Entry tags:dr. cox, emerald, finished thread, jazz, rating: r, sal, setting: armory within niflheim, setting: niflheim, strix

Long Measures
Who: Strix, Dr. Cox, Jazz, Emerald, Sal, [open]
Where: Neflheim, the armory
When: After a very long week of fighting with Lucifer and Light-san, and spying on the neighbors
Rating: R, language
Warning: Rampart drunkenness
Summary: Strix refuses to go back to her room after the abominable Light-san pisses her off. She instead bunkers down in the armory and gets good and drunk.

Things had been eating on Strix since she got here. She had tried putting them aside by doing constructive things like clock-breaking and spying. But in truth, these things were getting to her anyway. Her whole world had been ruptured, after all. She was getting all philosophical now, and that was dangerous.

She had downed three and a half liters of vodka before she had even found the stash in the kitchen pantry. Delighted she had grabbed as much as she could and hauled it to the nearest quite place that seemed out of the way. That's how she found the armory.

So she settled in, pulled out her laptop, and started drinking. Bad poetry ensued.

Now she is playing with the shiny, sharp things she is finding around here, and occasionally refreshing her screen to see if any of them had posted. Ooooh yes, she was watching them. She did this all while holding a liter in one hand, and the occasional sharp thing in the other.

It was going to be a long night.

Perry, who had decided it was a good time to get away from the paperwork, lingered in front of the Armory door. Did he really want to do this? ...Yeah. Yeah he kinda did. He didn't bother knocking. Just opened the door and stepped inside.

"Soooo." he said, looking around. "Glamorous place you've got set up here. When does the waiter come by to take our order?"

Strix had been intently staring at a row of sharp, wickedly curved blades displayed on a stand. She caressed one idly. "Kukries," she mused. "I have not seen one of thesh in a long time."

While Strix's motor functions were pretty badly effected by the alcohol, her speech still retained most of it's normal cadence, for now. She occasionally slurred words like "these", and her accent was heavily Greek (which would be the thing that would make it hard to understand).

She turned to Cox. "Ven ish a door not a door?"

Jazz, while technically on the way to the kitchens to see if there is any energon for him to find, finds his way past the door to the armory. Voices can be heard from the room, though he is not sure if the humans could hear it.

"Ven ish a door not a door?"

He mentally shrugs at this thought and decides to let his energy levels wait for a moment. Instead he enters the armory and finds a medic and a over-energized Strix.

"When it's really a picture. That's when a door's not a door."

"Wrong." she said, and unfolded herself languidly into a chair. She picked up her glass and took a sip.

"Nice try though."

Emerald had been hoping that she wasn't the only one who loved the drink. And Strix seemed to be the other one. Binging was fun, but only if you had someone to get pissed with. 'No point otherwise,' she thought. It just felt better to be a "social" drinker.

She brought a few bottles of some alcohol that she found in the kitchen (the liquor cabinet seemed to have been refilled already) just in case there was some B.Y.O.B. rule. After that, it was rather easy to find the armory. 'Just follow the liquor~'

She sashayed inside the room, and immediately found Jazz, Dr. Cox, and Strix. "Oooh my, having a party, are we Strix-dah'ling? So this is where the rest of the good stuff is!"

Jazz turns his head as Emerald enters the room. He wonders if a great percentage of the occupants of Nilfheim are... battle-drinkers, he thinks is the right word.

At a loss for words at the moment, he just makes himself comfortable sitting on the floor.

"You must be Jazz, right~?" Emerald put down her bottles along with Strix's. "I don't suppose autobots can get drunk on alcohol, can they?"

She sat down on a nearby table, which was covered with various torture devices. She picked a bottle and a creepy-looking scissor-device from the table and purposefully brandished it in Dr. Cox's direction. "I wonder where you use this one, hmmmm."

Oh great. This is exactly what I didn't want. A fucking tea party. I had plans...

Strix downed the rest of her drink and poured herself another.

"Looks like you stick it up the nasal passageway and viggle it around ze brain a little," she said in a thick Greek accent.

"You are?" she said, looking nonchalantly in Emerald's direction.

Sal Makes Cameo Appearance [No Need To Respond]

There were voices - several of voices. One sounded like Emerald, Sal knew that much, but the rest were unfamiliar. At first, Sal had been tempted to completely ignore them, as she had no intentions of socializing with these people for the most part. But it just so happened they were in the Armory. And this had been Sal's destination.

Peaking inside beyond the doorway, she came across Emerald, what appeared to be the inebriated Styx, Doctor Get-It-Got-It-Good, and...shit, that was a big robot.

For a moment, Sal's eyes studied her allies, assessing them silently. But after a few seconds, she retreated, decidedly not going to introduce herself.

Rather, as she made her way down the hall, she muttered under her breath, "We're screwed..."

He is aware that for a short moment they were observed by someone. From what his sensors tell him he assumes the 'spy' is one individual named Sal, but as Sal leaves shortly after that he does not mention it.

A nod is his answer to Emerald's question about his person, followed by a smirking "Not with alcohol, no."

To show his willingness to party he picks up one of the still full bottles and takes a sip. Though he has to admit that this most probably looks quite silly, a mech his size drinking from a bottle so small.

That is one question answered, he thinks. At least now he knows what he'll take as emergency fuel in case he hunt for energon is futile.

"Does it matter who she is? Obviously we're all here to get drunk. So why don't ya pass a bottle or two around the room, Murder She Wrote?"

Yes, he was sticking with the nickname. And no, she wasn't going to get him to stop any time soon. It was actually kind of funny to see her angry at nicknames (of all things). Perry settled down onto the floor and snatched up one of the full bottles nearby. The cap came off quickly and he took a swig of whatever happened to be inside.

No, it doesn't matter who anybody is, thinks Jazz and takes another sip from his far too small bottle of alcohol.

He has to smile at the nickname that the doc uses for Strix.

"By the way, could someone help me with my Greek language glitch?" he asks because it annoys him at the moment that Strix uses such an accent and he has not enough language data to fully translate unto the language.

"Easy vere, Old Squishy. Don't outdo yourself. Human livers are sho delicate in old age. And tasty too."

Strix turned rather wobbily towards Jazz. "How could ve halp you with such a glitch, eh? I know Java and C++, but you are a giant fucking sentient robot. I doubt zyu even have a coding language."

Well, if they were all going to get merrily drunk, Strix had better get to it. For team bonding, or something like that. Hell, if you looked at it that way, she was almost obligated...For the good of Neflheim! Ha, ha, ha.

He shrugs in answer to Strix' question.

"Maybe the old fashioned slow way would help. Downloading the language didn't help." He shrugs again.

"On the other hand, maybe I am one of those sad few who just have no look with the complexer languages."
