Zombie Chicken Nuggets and a Dramatic Entrance
Who: Lina and Kamina
When: Zombies have already broken inside Asgard and new people have arrived!
Where: Outside of Asgard
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Summary: Lina is still having fun thinning out the ranks of zombies and doing her best to keep too many from entering the building, when a previous member of Heaven's team returns!
The short, tiny redheaded sorceress packed quite a punch. Niflheim had been given a small demonstration of that not too long ago. The afternoon sun was blazing in the sky and Lina had to wipe sweat from her brow as she paused, standing on a tree branch, away from the wistful, hungry hands of zombies.
She hadn't been damaged by them yet and she still didn't plan on it, but she had been at this for too long. The spells were wearing Lina out, despite how much power she had. She could only keep it up as long as she could before ducking back into Asgard through the secret passage Dorian had made for her upon learning of her activities.
Dorian, she had decided even before that, was a pretty nice guy, despite being mummified. Her stomach growled. Hell, she wouldn't've minded some of that cooking of his he was always preparing at this point. She needed some more energy! Why hadn't she eaten two or three more courses? She'd been doing this for a few days, slipping back into Asgard at night, until they'd finally broken into the building itself.
A lot of her spells were too dangerous for indoor use so she kept outside, tired as she was, trying to keep as many of them from entering the house as she could. "Come on, you creeps!" she shouted at the zombies, patting herself as they glanced up. "Aren't you a little more interested in a beautiful, powerful body like mine?" She murmured the chant for a fireball and hurled it at the ones who came close, then leapt down into the smoking center that held only messy, dead-again zombie flesh.
"Geez, where the heck are you guys coming from anyway?" She shrugged, deciding it didn't matter. It was another set of days Metatron had called 'malfunction days', where rules like 'falling down means hitting the ground' and 'apples taste like apples' didn't always apply. Why couldn't there be something sensible instead of five or six days of an unending swarm of zombies? Why not a day where everything tasted like freshly broiled gourmet chicken?
Fun as zombies were, it was getting tiresome and she was a little worried about the others. As the smoke cleared, zombies were beginning to inch closer towards her. She closed one eye in a wink, showing off to her soon-to-be-victimized audience. "Time to say farewell, guys," she said, chanting another powerful spell in her head, power surging through her fingertips. "Because I really can't keep giving you all this attention!" She thrust her hands forward, expecting a blast of power to come forth and blast at least half of the zombies away...
...but nothing happened except a tiny spark of light from her fingertips. Unphased, the zombies pressed forward.
Well, that wasn't good. "Eh-heh, I didn't mean it, guys, really..."
