Hanging With The Raisin Girls
Who: Misa and Dorian
Where: Misa's Room
When: Three Days After Christmas
Rating: PG
Warnings: None at the moment
Summary: Dorian is aware that Misa is probably in danger of being killed by Niflheim, and is tired of seeing her running headlong into trouble. Scared for her life, he decides she needs to have a friend to count on in Asgard before it's too late.
While Misa was a very friendly and spirited girl, Dorian didn't know as much about her as one would have expected. In fact, very few people probably really had any meaningful conversations with her. He did notice that several members of Asgard were on edge with her, and due to the nature of her arrival, he didn't blame them. Still, it had been months since she had first entered this realm, and she had made some progress.
Unfortunately, though, that progress wasn't enough to keep her out of harm's way. Dorian was the last person to ever want to label someone as dumb or ignorant - he would be one great hypocrite if he did - but Misa did have a way of sprinting straight to the source of evil without giving reason or common sense a second thought. She was, he supposed, like Poppy - full of youth and vibrancy and good intentions, but not always aware of what they were getting themselves into. Even when he had befriended Banru, Dorian had been suspicious of the Niflheimer's intentions. And still he had paid dearly anyway.
Afraid of the same happening to Misa, Dorian decided that it was time she had a friend - someone who didn't talk at her or down to her, but someone to talk with her. He was no elegant conversationalist, but he was certainly willing to give it a try. After all, she had played in the snow with him. He knew she had no reservations against speaking with him or maybe bonding with him.
Letting Christmas go by without incident, Dorian finally hobbled to Misa's door, hoping she was in her room. If she wasn't, he would try again later. But for now, he had his bandaged, pulpy fingers crossed. The mummy knocked and licked his lips. "Uh, M...Misssssa? Misa, are you inssside?"
