Who: Dr Cox and his house mates
Where: The Study Room
When:  Whenever they manage to get their 'bony arses down there'
Summary: Dr Cox is starting to take this seriously and needs to know how these people are put together

Dr Cox had been up pretty much all night working on just Balam's paperwork.  And he was as close to human as the rest of the house was likely to get.  There was a large stack of paperwork next to him, and all of it was very neatly separated into different folders with colorful little tabs. At least he was almost done!  ...As if that was any comfort, considering how many people were in this house.

He needed coffee.  He really needed coffee.  So he went in search of some.  He made his way to the kitchen and found a coffee pot there.  A bit of rummaging produced a can of <S>crappy</S> coffee which Cox gratefully made.  And he waited, leaning against the counter for it to be finished.  When it was finished, he grabbed an apple and an empty cup and just took the entire pot with him back to the study room and back to work.  At least now he had coffee.

[OOC: this takes part later than this post, right?]

Jazz is curious as to what the doctor would make of him, thus he finds his way to the study room. With a soft knock - he really has to be a bit cautious with the doors, wood doesn't take much force to break - he enters the room.

"Hi, Doc."

Perry grumbled a bit as Strix took his coffee cup before he turned to Jazz.

"I suppose we should start with your race. You aren't going to be in any of my books. Which means you and I are going to be spending a lot of one on one time while I learn real quick how to be an engineer." He scribbled on his paper for a second before turning back. "What are you made of?"

{ooc: yeyy for reposts. Yes this would be after that thread.}

Strix was secretly pleased by the doctor's new found initiative, but she was incredibly hesitant to actually reveal anything about herself that might be important. She had survived in large part by dodging notice, going under the radar. That couldn't happen if everything about her was written down in a file somewhere. It was just...instincts.

Besides, how much did a person need to know to put a few stitches in you?

She meandered down to the study area, still ambivalent about how she was going to handle it. She found the doctor with Jazz, sifting through mountains of paper. She sniffed the air lightly.

"What are you drinking? Please tell me that is not an attempt at coffee."

"Hey Jazz," she added.

Perry looked up as the two of them walked in. The first one kind of make his eyes... well. They were huge. And his eyebrow was raised. He beckoned closer to the two of them and sneered at Strix's comment. "Its the only actual coffee I could find. If you're willing to go get some coffee from a coffeeshop then go right ahead. But unless you're drinking it, save it." He muttered, obviously tired.

"Soooo." he started, getting a fresh sheet of paper out for both of them. "You," he said, nodding at Jazz. "I doubt i'm going to find in any book here." He handed a Demon Anatomy book to Strix. "Find your race in there." And back to Jazz. "What, exactly, are you?"

Strix snorted. "I run a coffee shop back home," she said derisively. "And there's nothing in this text that can help anybody. I'm not a demon. Now give me that coffee cup."

"Then what are you? If i'm going to be stitching ya back together, i'm going to need to know what goes where and what medicine not to use on you. See, that's the wonderful thing about being a doctor. I can tell you ya have to do something, and if ya don't do it, you'll only get worse." He grouched at her, handing her his cup of brown water. If she could make that better, that'd be one good reason to have her stick around.

"So. If you'd be so kind as to find your race for me, that'd be great."

Strix nabbed the cup from him and then sidled around Jazz to get back out of the study room, ignoring the doctor's comment. She went down to the kitchen and started throwing stuff together. There were some disconcerting clattering and yowling noises emanating from the kitchen as she worked. It would tend to make one wonder just what it was she was she was putting in that coffee, but no one had ever complained before.

(ooc: Ima give Jazz a chance for some one on one before I get back ^_~)

Jazz has to suppress a smile at Strix' behaviour. It wouldn't look good to annoy the medic.

"What I am," he says, "is a Cybertronian." He wonders if he should start like David Copperfield: I was born, I grew ip... but decides against it. He would not want to copy a depressed vampire.

"That means I am an Autonomous Robotic Organism from the planet Cybertron. You can call us Autobots for short." Here he has to grin. Ratchet would probably want to slag him, but that was it already worth in sentimental value.

Perry wrote as he listened, putting away preconceptions of what was real and what wasn't. Strix certainly proved that the other day.

"Autobots. Do you guys heal naturally? Or am I going to have to learn how you work?" If he had to learn, he would. Perry wasn't happy about it, but if he was going to be stuck here, he was going to make sure his team was healthy and they were going to get home.

Yes, we can heal. Though it's mostly minor stuff, like a scraped knee for you humans. Everything more and there's need for some repairs."

A soft laiugh follows.

"But what counts as a scraped knee for me would kill and sushi you."

"So for anything other then a scrapped knee, you're going to need a mechanic." This was going to take him forever. ...Well, there was a long shot, but...

"You wouldn't happen to have any blueprints of yourself hangin' around somewhere, would ya? Otherwise i'm gonna have to make some myself and figure out how you're built. Which, believe you me, I really don't want to do. I will, but i'll complain the entire time."

"I can give you something better than blueprints."

And with this Jazz activates his holo-emitter and creates a human-sized replica of himself.

"Does that help?"

Light made his way to the study room wordlessly. He had no need to say anything about himself. From what Lucifer said, his body should be completely normal. This was simply a routine check-up to help the doctor become familiar with his possible patients. He noticed the doctor and walked over to him. "Hello. I am Yagami Light. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand to offer the doctor a shake, but there was absolutely no emotion behind it. Simply polite courtesy.

He took the offered hand and shook it with a firm grip. There was something off about this guy. Not that it mattered much.

"Dr. Cox." He said simply. This one looked relatively easy, but then again so had the first guy. He gestured to an open seat and, taking a deep breath, he pulled out a fresh sheet of paper. "Name and species?"

"Told you my name..and species, actually. But I'll repeat. Yagami Light. I'm Japanese, so the last name is said first. I am human." Light answered, sitting down in the chair and leaning his cheek onto his hand, looking, all and all, impatient.

Script. That damned script. But at least the boy was human. That made this all so much simpler. He started writing on the paper. "That makes me more then a little happy. I already have demons and robots. About damn time I get a human. Are you allergic to anything, medicine wise? Any pre-existing conditions?"

Carrion had considered outright ignoring doctor's orders. The Prince of Midnight had no intention of getting himself injured and allowing some doctor from the Hereafter to touch him, much less operate on him. He would almost rather die, again.

On the other hand, he had yet to come down from his tower since he had arrived. Some light exploration might as well start with a, hopefully short, trip to the doctor.

Someone else had just left the room, though he couldn't see who it was. He walked into the study, his milky-white, haughty eyes staring over the fluid inside his 'fishtank' collar. If he had a full nose, it might've twitched at the smell of coffee. The nightmare eels were coiled inside his brain out of sight for now, resting and waiting for Carrion's commands.

He turned his gaze on the human who summoned the Niflheimers. "Dr. Cox, I presume."

Oh goody, another patient. Only this one was... different. He leaned back into his chair and crossed his arms as he inspected this new person. He looked like something straight out of a nightmare.

"That would be me. You would be?" He asked lightly.

"Christopher Carrion." He was amused at how much Dr. Cox looked like someone he knew back home, one called Rojo Pixler. Except Dr. Cox was less mad scientist-like, and had normal-sized eyes.

He smiled his ghastly smile, revealing how badly his lips were cracked and scarred, as if someone had sewn his mouth shut at one point. And that was the least of the damage Carrion had suffered in his life. "What else would you like to know?"

What else, indeed.

His fingers brushed his nose lightly before settling back down onto the other. This guy was... interesting.

"What, exactly, are you?" He was something you'd see in a horror movie. But, considering he already had a giant robot and Tweedy Bird, he shouldn't be too suprised.

"Abaratian." That didn't truly answer the question, as well Carrion knew, so he tried a different tact. "Not human. Though I believe I have similiar anatomy... except for this part, my invention."

A gloved finger tapped the glass collar, disturbing the liquid. The eels had yet to show themselves, but the Prince was waiting for an opportune moment to reveal them, the true horror of his appearance. Dr. Cox didn't know it, but he was being... tested.

He spotted the anatomy book on the table and opened it. "Hmm, it's been a while since I studied such things." He scanned through, mentally comparing what he had and the human body didn't, and vice versa. "I cannot drink alcohol. No liver."

[ooc: Hah, one of the questions in the book that is not answered, his race. xD In addition to, how does he eat, which I attempted to answer in the Jazz/Carrion thread.]

It took Una awhile to hear the this Cox man wanted to analyze every one of his house mates. What an inconvenience. It was very unlikely that this man would truly understand what she was.

With a very audible sigh she made her way down the hall to the Study Room as directed and opened the door slowly, peaking her head in before fully moving inside the room.

Una was quite an odd sight. Tall, slender, long pink hair, pink skin, and cloudy gray eyes that seemed to completely stand out. Such an odd sight in this house in general. Her long hair seemed to float around her body as if alive as she even seemed to glide along the floor, though her feet were clearly visible.

Looking around, she saw a few others from the house and then let herself stand near a bookcase, speaking to herself softly.

"Hm...A Dr.Cox?..."

She finally spotted a man in a white coat and figured he was who she was supposed to look for.

Oh joy. Another one.

He waggled a finger at her, indicating she come closer. "That would be me. Unless of course you'd like anyone else here to be a Dr. Cox. Wouldn't advise it though; none of them are as good as I am. Name and race?" He asked as his hands went up behind his head. Long day. Very... very long day.

She raised an eyebrow as the doctor man wagged his finger at her to come closer. He seemed flustered and his hands almost immediately went up behind his head. A smile crept onto her lips as she glided towards him.

"Oh. Well then. I wouldn't like anyone else but you, Dr, Cox.."

She was now right in front of the man in the white coat, her hair floating about her being and only one of her cloudy gray eyes could be seen as she gave the Doctor a once over.

"My name is Una, Dear Doctor. I am a Banshee..."
