A Player's Willingness: A General Heads Up
While I thoroughly encourage asking people about whether or not they'd be interested in writing different plots together, I also think it'd be very useful if everyone replied in a comment to this describing who their characters are and what they may or may not be comfortable with writing with each of them.
I'll start so there's an example.
I write both NPCs, Balam, and Alice Elliot.
Balam is good for arguments, misunderstandings, and general confusion. Because of his background and situation, yes, he is a fire demon, and he has little control over a very dangerous temper. He also has many weaknesses and is easily manipulated. Unless it's through manipulation (even his presence in Niflheim is that, though it'll be unknown to other Niflheimers in the beginning), Balam isn't a character to be used for darker material except when it's due to general misunderstandings. He will, however, (try to) give anyone a beating if he thinks they deserve it.
Alice Elliot is a religious, shy, yet strong-willed woman whose optimism and will to do good remains even after having sacrificed herself for a loved one before Metatron pulled her from the afterlife to aid God in his mission. She can heal people's wounds and generally desires to help rather than hinder others...though at the same time she is cautious and inwardly frets about many things. Alice would not be a character to engage in R-rated sexual content threads with, unless strange circumstances somehow occur, but even then i'd be uncomfortable with writing it out. If you have a character who'd harrass her, by all means, be in character, though. She's just not the type of character to just sleep with someone, though.
Lucifer is available for all your torturing, manipulating, and generally cruel needs. Being who he is, standing for what he does, he's not above or below any sort of wrong behavior, and he's happy about it. He likes doing things that get amusing responses out of people - but he never outright harms his own teammates, just frustrates them for fun. So he'll do any kind of thing, but I won't necessarily write every extreme horror known to mankind with him. Depending on how extreme it is (talk to me about it), or sexual it is (talk to me about it), i'll possibly ask that we agree to have the event happen without writing it out and thus simply post responses to it in journals and react from then on as if it had occured.
Metatron is available for all your warm, fuzzy, or mentoring needs. He's often too enthusiastic and cheery like a child, but he has a much more solemn, serious side that still maintains his constant love of all - yes, he even loves the misled ones (the Niflheimers) in his own way. He'll try to cheer characters up, give them hope, generally help them out when he can, and hold his arms out to them in need. He doesn't function like a human would, and thus certain actions that might seem strange to a 'human' male would not strike him that way.
Regardless of what someone says, if you end up confused or just want to talk to them about a potential idea anyway, never be afraid to ask players about stuff and plot with them!
