Er...
Well. I have something to say. This is a personal statement, and it is not directed at any one person.

There are not many things that ruffle me, and I try to be considerate of other players, but I also expect other players to be considered too. When people go inactive in the middle of live threads (actual player interaction, not the journals) with no warning, explanation, or attempt to at least make a way for others to work around the absence plot-wise, it really bothers me. Not to mention the fact that when this happens it catches up other people's thread counts (which are limited to two, remember, not a lot of wiggle room there), and so in turn everything that they're doing must freeze also.

If people are gone for a couple of days, announce hiatus, whatever, I'm cool with that, but when people get left hanging for a week, or even a month, I'm not okay with that. At least let the other people in the thread know what's going on. Please. Pretty please? Because we're otherwise powerless to create plot from that thread and move on.

All I'm asking for is communication.

I love this game, and I love all the players. I really have fun here. I just thought I would throw this out because it's really be aggravating me lately, and I would rather be proactive than stew in my own juices over it.

Best,
Whit

Just piping up because it's somewhat related....

If for some reason I don't reply to something within a day or whatever, chances are I didn't get an email alert and don't know it's my turn.

Seriously, do not hesitate at all to give me a poke, an email, whatever, and let me know! :D Don't worry about being pushy or impatient or anything like that. Mainly for exactly the reasons stated above: I don't want to hold anyone up, or stall a thread.

And I really need some OOC icons for this journal....

I can get kinda bad about that, but I try to give a few days, if not one or two day at the least, hiatus.

I'll try to repost the notice, and finish all threads. or atleast try. unless they're the journal one. But like I said, if not, I'll try to reply during the trip. :D;;

Also, throw me on the "Need a poke or a shove at times" group. Sometimes, I forget, or get wrapped up in something else. Yay ADD~ Or might have a rather impromptu Hiatus, where I'm gone for normally three or so days without any way of contacting anyone.

It wasn'z me with the spy thread, or was it?

If it was, I apologize. My mail notifications are a bit wonky for the last couple of days.

If it's ever me (and I realize that right now I'm part of this), please, please don't be afraid to give me a poke. I admit that as the mod I have to try to keep track of everyone's threads, not just mine, and that on occasion this means I lose track of something.

I'd never consider it rude or a bother - so never be afraid to give me a poke, even if you end up wanting to give me two pokes. Also, the hiatus' have gotten me muddled lately. I thought Dr. Cox was still on hiatus! Eek! There goes my brain - i'm only human, though. XD

That goes for everyone else, too though - don't fear poking me, please~

Also, I have no idea why, but IJ and my internet connection are just not communicating very well. I've made posts lately only to have to post them again because they didn't go through - so often I believe i've made a post lately and have been waiting for a reply, when...when the OTHER person is waiting for ME! Gah! That's another reason why I appreciate pokes.

I completely agree - it's very irritating when people don't stay consistent in their gaming. I know I do it sometimes - not staying in touch - and it drives me mad, especially when it's me. Just like the others, I get forgetful or the notices don't show up. Nudge me, hun! I never deliberately ignore the posts, and I never want it to appear so.

Good post. Sometimes it needs to be said.

Thanks ^_^ It's just felt like something I needed to say something about. It's not really a huge deal or anything.

Chiming in with "give me a poke." I can only remember one time that anyone did, in fact I'm probably bad with always doing the reminding. But don't be afraid to alert me if I didn't reply to something.

(Though my comment e-mails seem to be getting through.)

If I ever get taken off the internet by my dad, which is the first thing my parents go for when I'm in trouble, then I will try to call L-Player and have her tell you guys I'm gone. I dunno how long that might take, though, so you may be a few days without a Light (Or Vincent, if that app is accepted).

At the moment, things seem pretty calm, though, so that may not happen. But, just as a full-warning, that is the first thing they go for, so it MAY happen.

But, yes, I seem to still get all my notification e-mails, but just in case, don't hesitate to e-mail or AIM me and get my attention.

Yeah, totally hopping on the "if you don't hear from me, drop me a line" bandwagon. Sometimes I mean to post and forget to, or other times someone will reply to me and I won't get a notification. So don't ever hesitate to email me if you want me to post. <3

Based on a few comments, I do have this to add; I do not personally think that it's other people's responsibily to make you keep up with your own threads. If people needed to be reminded every once in a while about something they forgot, then okay, I guess. But I am not going to babysit anyone. If you're in a thread, I believe that it is your responsibility to check on it every once in a while wether you've gotten an e-mail notification or not. You should technically have only two threads to keep up with anyway, so I don't think that's asking a lot.

True, but sometimes people need a poke - people sometimes have things that are stressing them out. I have an entire roleplaying game to babysit, and I know that might not be hard for some people? But it's a lot for me. Also, that's not just two threads for everyone - it can be as many as six for some. And often people do threads to convenience other players and give them a chance to do something.

No, it's not your responsibility to remind anyone, but if you've been waiting and your anxious, don't be passive about it. Give someone a poke. It makes everything better in the long run because they got a reminder and now they can remember to do it sooner rather than later. It really is better to just poke someone if necessary.

Duly noted. u_u I was guilty of that before, mostly because I wouldn't speak up and say, "Hey, I dunno what else to add to this thread, can we finish up?" I've been better now... but sometimes I mess up still and just need a little reminder.

Yeah, just going to have to echo everyone else here. I'm glad you spoke up.
