CU's Anniversary
...was actually yesterday, but my browser wouldn't behave and let me post yesterday.

But still, just to pause for a moment of yay: One year ago yesterday, CU began. I started it with the high hopes that this could become a game where people wouldn't have to fret over each other and simply relax with a fun, relatively undemanding game while still providing lots of opportunities for people and their characters.

After a year, I have to say that I think that we're doing fairly well. There's bumps in the road every now and then, but that's to be expected. So I just wanted to thank all of you, each and every one of you, for participating in CU. Because it's all of us, together, that makes this game fun.

In other news, I have an organizational idea that will clear up the OOC board very much so that there's more room for simple plot discussions and the like.

A hiatus thread.
What's this?

Instead of saying "I'm going" and "i'm back" in new entries in the OOC board, how about we all comment to a hiatus thread and reply to our hiatus comment to announce when we've returned? Then a week or so after, those can be deleted and everyone has a good idea of who is where and why all in one spot!

Does this sound acceptable?

Wow. Has it really been a full year?...

I remember saying in the beginning of the game that I never was in any kind of rpg that lasted longer than 2-3 months, so... wow. Just wow.

May CU have many more of such great and fun times than what we've had this year. May it last at least another year.

As for the hiatus thread, the idea sounds interesting. But, wouldn't this thread be over-filled? I don't know if all players have thread notifications running for the game, and we would need them to even know that someone posted a new hiatus note in it.

	I'm glad it's survived this long, and you had a part in keeping it going! Thank you! It wouldn't be over-filled, as the old hiatus stuff would be deleted over time, so the cycle would be ongoing. Only current or recent hiatus/return notices would be on the thread. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I really feel special I was able to get involved in this, and everyone has been fabulous, so let's hope we'll keep the fun times rolling. <3 And I have to say the hiatus thread may help out, since that would cut the amount of stuff in the OOC board by at least half, so would help for what you're aiming for dear Mod. ^^~ (Reply to this)
