Ceara sighed as she waited for the light to turn green, she just needed to do this one tiny errand before she was going to see if Patrick was doing anything. She had some movies and some scotch and a long weekend ahead of her. Finally the light turned green, and just as she was hitting the acclerater and moving through the intersection, a truck ran the red light and crashed directly into her roadster.

Patrick didn't recognize the number but flipped open his phone anyway.

"Is this Patrick Garrett?"

"Speaking."

"You're listed as an emergency contact for Ceara Whitfield."

Patrick felt his mouth go dry, numbly fumbling for anything to write down the address and hospital name they gave. He eneded up with a paper napkin. "What happened? Is she ok?"

"There was a traffic accident. Right now she's in the Emergency Room."

Patrick literally ran out of his apartment and down to the street.

	The doctor examined the patient before her. It'd been one ugly crash and the girl had been luckier than most to get away with the few injuries she had. The girl was still unconscious and the doctor wasn't sure if that was a good sign or a bad one. She looked at the nurse, "Has the emergency contact gotten here yet?" 	Patrick followed the nurse back, bracing himself. Would she be paralyzed? Would she be scarred beyond recognition? Did she have an inoperable brain tumor they found while she was on the table? He tried not to hyperventilate. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
